World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King was indeed confirmed today! I don't have a release date for you, but the xpac looks AMAZING. Here are some of the more uber things to note:

- Level cap WILL be raised to 80, and along with it, of course new abilities and Talents.

- Northrend will be the new Zone, and here is the OFFICAL new Map of Azeroth: http://www.wowwiki.com/images/b/be/Mapofworldwithnorthrend.jpg

- A **NEW CLASS** will be added, called the Death Knight. Described as the first "Hero Class" of WoW... whatever that means.

- And my favorite so far... the ability to further customize your characters! Includes hairstyle, skin color and you can bet much much more.

- New Battleground featuring seige weapons and destructible buildings.

For more info, check out the OFFICIAL WotLK website: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/

Or keep your eye on WoWiki which is where I got all of this info: http://www.wowwiki.com/World_of_Warcraft:_Wrath_of_the_Lich_King

Overall, yeah I'm ridiculously pumped for this xpac now....

#4REDACTED, Posted: Aug 03 2007 at 12:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ...Where is that info in that topic? Oh yeah I deleted it and made this one because it has actual info in it, not just "omg what we all knew was coming has just been OFFICIALLY announced". Two completely different topics, just because I decided to make a new one you're gonna try and rag on me? lol, I find that funny considering you were probably even interested by everything I wrote in this topic, and thankful for it, but since there was a SLIGHTLY similar, yet greatly inferior, topic already made, chose the ***** path, and got on my case for it. HOWEVER, since you are a Scholar and widely known and liked on this board, people will no doubt get behind you on this one, rate me down, trash my topic etc. when in reality it includes so much more than the one you just pointed out to me... oh well, life goes on I guess.
#5REDACTED, Posted: Aug 03 2007 at 12:23 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It's described as FURTHER customization so... I guess you can change your existing hair, skin etc...

Yes, because god forbid you couldn't just post your information in the same damn thread that was already made. Oh ho ho no, we need to have everybody and their uncle's neighbor's cousin make a new thread about it.

i saw the link to the post mentioned. it actually does provide the same info you do, by providing another link.

not to mention, this is already in other threads..not to mention, the similar info is on front page fo the site.

ie, yea, you didn't need another thread about the same stuff.

however, since you're seriously pumped up about it, i know it was because you couldn't contain your excitement and had to post about it on another thread too.

Funny, I didn't see you b*tching at DodoBird for not posting his info in Jabadiah's topic about WotLK being confirmed, which was made days ago. Could it be as I predicted that now that I've been sh*t on by Jordster, people are automatically gonna get behind him? Wow I did NOT see that coming.

There is serious truth in this quote. I have no idea why people couldn't just share my excitement and agree with me that it looks awesome, no matter how many topics there are about it... I guess Jordster's on the rag or something... and unfortunately that's all it takes because now everyone's just going to follow suite, in what is the land of bandwagons and ***-kissing, known as the internet.

- Level cap WILL be raised to 80, and along with it, of course new abilities and Talents.

Yay. Way to make old content obsolete before anywhere near a largepercentage of the population has even played it.

- Northrend will be the new Zone, and here is the OFFICAL new Map of Azeroth: http://www.wowwiki.com/images/b/b...rthrend.jpg

Why did they unnessecerily move Northrend there?

- A **NEW CLASS** will be added, called the Death Knight. Described as the first "Hero Class" of WoW... whatever that means.

Oh so finally we are getting stuff we were told we would get a few months after launch.

- And my favorite so far... the ability to further customize your characters! Includes hairstyle, skin color and you can bet much much more.

Essentially WoW is going to finally allow you to do what pretty much ever other modern MMO allows you to do.

- New Battleground featuring seige weapons and destructible buildings.

Its nice to see we will finally be getting what AV was originally was supposed to be.

Mostly this looks luike crap IMO. There was so many better ways Blizz could have did an expansion, especially without alienating the majority of their playerbase. Hero classes will be nice, but leave a bad taste in my mouth since we were supposed to have them long ago. Same with guild houses and such, if they ever get around to adding those.

how long was it between the release of the idead of bc as an expansion and the release in Jan of 07 was it? 6months. 1 year? If blizz takes a year to make it and test it, that might give many players that amount of time needed to fully explore bc. who knows.
genfreak simmer down. seems like most of what blizz did/does grates you. might wanna take a step back and relax.

Less QQ, more pewpew. Why is it that every time Blizzard does something exciting like this, there's ALWAYS at least one person who says bullsh*t like this.

If you hate it so much, then quit. There's nothing stopping you. Just quit. Obviously Blizzard does NOTHING you like, so quit. Just do it. Stop whining, shut up, uninstall the game, and quit.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing this stuff, honestly. You know WHY Blizzard raises the level cap? Here's the thing:

At level 70, with enough time, you can essentially do all you can as far as gear upgrades go, etc. It'll take awhile, but eventually you can. Then you're more inclined to quit the game because, well, there's no more gear upgrades available to you. There's nothing left to do. And guilds like Nihilum will be there soon. At any level below 70, you have a clear objective. Level up. There's something to do. So if they raise the level cap, *sighgaspOMG* EVERYONE has something clear cut to do. Outlands will still be there. Pre60 stuff will still be there to do.

In a cynical way, this is how Blizzard keeps getting their money. It's the best way to keep everyone happy.

So get over it.

ONe of the things not mentioned was "more daily quests". They might be implemented in 2.x patches, though. Plans are for daily quests for all the crafting professions.
