Why would their *original* faction trust them at all? I'd think the enemy faction would take them in first... the enemy of my enemy is my friend, after all. Besides, Death Knights have everything in common with the Forsaken: They're undead who have regained their free will and have left Arthas' cause behind.

Is there still school-specific spellpower? I know "Spell Damage and Healing" and "Healing and 1/3 Spell Damage" are being merged into their own Spell Power, but is there "Holy Spellpower" "Fire Spellpower" etcetera?

Blood Elf starting quests now consist of visiting strip clubs in Silvermoon and having hashish orgies. The Argent Dawn retires and gets into banking. Mograine's son becomes a worthless alcoholic devastated by his uselessness in a world that has moved on. Instead of "Turn Undead," paladins get "Hammertime", which forces the targeted player to dance uncontrollably for 20 seconds.

Going back into time is a hidden feature of this new expansion to which FFXI got a while back.
DeathKnight? Rofl FFXI = Dark Knight..

Yeah because we all know Square invented dark knights, right?

To be fair, the WC2 Deathknight is dissimilar to WC3's version, which is much closer to the WoW version.

Just let the FFXI troll have his moment of self credited cleverness.

Hi, I'm a newcomer to these forums. I'm wondering on if Blizzard requires that people first install the Burning Crusade expansion before installing the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

Yes you do, you can't exactly skip from 60 to 80 ;) besides a lot of content is being updated from BC so you'll need BC to even play WotLK which if you haven't jumped on the BE or Dranaei band wagon nows your chance before Nov. 13.

***NOOB QUESTIONS ALERT***

ok, so I have this WotLK beta key in my mail now. It says to download the new client and patches and stuff, and then to copy some (up to 4) chars to the server.
Still at work so I can't download the stuff yet, but that shouldn't be a problem. This is clear to me. What's not however is if I can still log on into my 'old' account and play with my friends. Seems I am the only one from my friends who was lucky enough to get the beta key, and playing WoW ONLY in the beta testrealm without my friends and not anymore in the old world with my friends isn't that appaling.

Or do I just get a server added, so if I want to play Beta I go to the Beta server, and if I want to play with my friends i switch back to my current server (Genjuros)??
And if that's the case,I suppose the gold and mats you send with it (the contents of the mailbox too??) are copied too instead of transfered (So you actually get to keep the stuff on your 'old' account) ?

I hope someone can shed some light on this matter

Seriously, though... I sure hope that unlocking Death Knight isn't comparable to unlocking some of the classes in FFXI, or doing a Genkai. Some of those really sucked.

i remember G5 i think i was where you have to fight you have to fight your self that was the best as a WHM i got it the 1st try but all my friends that had MNK or PLD took them weeks to get past it i hope it's something like that i had a ton of fun doing that

I don't know if it's been posted yet, but there is a WLK manual included in the latest patch.

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\enUS\Documentation. It's titled Manual_WLK.pdf.

I just checked and sure enough it's there.

Does anyone know who's replacing Nesingwary in Nagrand, as he moves up to slaughter Northrend beasties? Was wondering if he had a daughter somewhere to call in or something.

What we know thus far, is that the "routine maintenance" 2 days prior to release of the WOTLK has broken WoW for 2 days. Hence, WOTLK is likely to break the game for weeks, if not months.

That's all I know so far...

The only thing you need to have a Death Knight is you have to have at least one character that is level 55 already. Then you go to Create New Character screen and create one. That's it. That's all. Easy. You start off in DK noob area that has several quests that get you to around lvl 58 by the time you are done, then you revolt and go to your respective capital city (Aliance or Horde) and make piece with them.

When you enter the city you get rotten food thrown at you. People spit on you, etc....

After you talk to the King, then they like you. Funny thing is, EVERY DK has to talk to King before they are liked. Seems like one could do it for all of em. But, that's how the last DK noob quest is written, so that's what you do.

Oh, one last thing. It's not just you that revolts, it's a group of DKs. So you keep the flying thing and you get a port that takes you back there for training and stuff. Your flying mount is a dead griffon. No feathers, just bones. Heh hee.

Figure the rest out for yourselves and happy hunting.

I love the dead bird mount. Actually the ground mount is pretty sweeet too, the noise it makes when you cast it little horse scream. So great.

And what we know so far is that DolanarR and all the other alarmists must be feeling really stupid. If they're not feeling stupid, they must be too idiotic to notice how moronically dimwitted they were being.

Or, most likely, they went back to the Oboards.
