#1: You're not the only person who plays WoW. Ever think maybe there are other people who might not mind going another 10 levels?

#2: We dont know EVERYTHING that's going to be released.

#3: Get to level 80 then you can do your uber hard sh*t (questing for the DK)

Today I went and reserved a copy of WLK. The guy said it was set to release in Oct or Nov can't remember. Wen't to a few stores after that and they said about the same time frame, nothing like next June or something like that. I'm guessing that's what Blizz told all the Gamestops and EB Games(which is where I went along with Best Buy and Circuit City) was the release date. I know it'll happen like when I reserved GTA SA though. The day it was supposed to come in I went down to get a copy and they said they haven't shipped yet and they'd call me when they get em in. They never called and didn't get them for about 3 weeks after that ta boot.

Hopefully it does release earlier than next spring.

i like the idea of notherend although i didnt think it be the second (quite frankly i was hoping for malestorm or emerald dream) but from what ive seen ive like except for deathknights kinda makes me feel that pallies would get gipped for tanking spots and dk are how ret should of been but im positive im being paranoid
i think dks are just gonna be a fad like belf paladins where the first couple of months its gonna be dk crazy since ive heard theyre semi easy to unlock and then people will get frustrated with the new combat system they have and quit because of dk's flaws or the complexity of it idk something i would of liked if they added a new race (cause i really wanted to be a high elf cause to me high > blood and there ARE some that still exist and incorporate a revenge sort of thing w/e im just typing whatever im thinking) but im fine sticking with what we have. the new proffesion seems interesting and the ability to change hairstyles makes me giggle but will give me something different to look at for a change than my original hairstyle i like the new cot wing and THANK GOD FOR NEW DANCES!! i hope humans have another badass dance :D im not much of a pvp freak to comment on the new bg or siege but ill check it out it seems cool but people... CALM DOWN!!!! any info can be change before its release so stop freaking out and have faith -.-

/facepalm

There are still loads of active belf palas and dreanei shamans around.

If pallies get replaced as tanks by DK's. Well whose fault is that? Lots of American scientists got replaced by Indian Scientists. There was a reason.

But its unlikely tankadins will be replaced. I'd like to joke and say that first of all you need to be in the place for you to be replaced but i've seen a lot of very skilled and successful tankadins.

Anyway. How do you know DK's are what retri should have been. They havent even given us a list of powers, abilities and other such miscallaneous [spelling?] details about a class.

But well, i cant say iam paranoid myself. After DK's what will the position of rogues be? we wont find out till WLK comes out.

Thank god for new dances. Iam curious to see the system where we learn them though.

Just a couple of tiny things I read today that I noticed weren't in here. This is from Hyper Magazine, an Aussie gaming Mag, and is usually spot on with news. Anyway...

Flying mounts will work in Northrend... eventually. At first you will not be able to use them, because the dev's don't want you to be able to skip over the content by flying right on over. You probably won't be able to fly until level 78 or so. Source here.

Hyper say you can re-use flying at level 75.

  • An area known as "Lake Wintergrasp" will be added, and will act as a PvP area even on a PvE server. Nothing else about it is known.

  • Annoyingly enough I just realised this second point was from a diferent gaming mag that I didn't buy. I can't remember exactly the wording, but it made it sound like what goes on in this zone can effect other parts of Northrend (most likely via "zone" buffs, but i think it sounded like it might also effect NPCs. I'll have to find the mag and check again. Was PC Powerplay if anyone spots it.

Hope this hasn't been typed yet, apologies if so.

Anyhow got some info on Northrend's zones from Games for Windows Magazine.

    Quote:
For the moment, Northrend is split into 10 zones (boundaries and level ranges are subject to change). Enter through Howling Fjord or Borean Tundra in the eastern bay or on the western point, and fight your way to Icecrown Glacier, where Arthas' Frozen Throne awatis.

Wrath of the Lich King also introduces a couple new zone concepts: Lake Wintergrasp is WoW's first outdoor PvP zone, and Azjol-Nerub, home of the spiderlike Nerubian race, is the first "outdoor underground" zone-a cave under the heart of Northrend, vast enough to house massive structures and cities. The full(but tentative) list:

    Howling Fjord (lvl 68-72)
    Borean Tundra(lvl 68-72)
    The Dragonblight(level 71-75)
    Zul'Drak(level 73-76)
    Grizzly hills(level 74-76)
    Azjol-Nerub(level 74-78)
    Sholazar Basin(lvl 75-78)
    The Storm Peaks(lvl 77-80)
    Icecrown Glacier(level 77-80)
    Lake Wintergrasp (Outdoor PvP)

    On upgrades and level curves:

    Tom Chilton wrote:
"The guiding principle is that it should never feel like you're grinding. You should never run out of quest content. We don't expect to be drastically different from what 60 to 70 was like." And despite complaints from the early days of Burning Crusade, even the most epically geared players should be getting new gear from almost at the start. "The hardcore resent that at first, but it's only a matter of time before they start getting into the endgame again."

#173REDACTED, Posted: Oct 05 2007 at 11:58 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I didn't read the entire thread...sorry too lazy....so hopefully nothing else is mentioned, but I'm hoping to beable to take my flying mount with me to Northrend. I dont think it would be fair to give flying mounts to outlands alone.
