horde - alliance translationFollow

#1 May 13 2007 at 12:38 AM Rating: Decent
if u want to translate horde to alliance i think the best way is to figure out the alphabet of each.
like "S R L F I W L I" in orcish could mean A L L I A N C E in human (just an example). if someone could figure out the alphabet that would be kick a**!

if u still dont get what im saying then heres an example... "A" in orcish may be read as "F" in human. again, figure out the alphabet, and you can speak the other language.

Thats a good idea and all, but I think its just random. Like I doubt that its like A in Orcish = Q in Common, but it might. If anyone can correct me on this, I would greatly appriciate it. 0_o

That'd never work, you're assuming that the same word has the same amount of letters. For Example 'Alliance' for the alliance has 8 letters, however the Horde word for Alliance might very well be Du, Tlk or even Rgnluiebifdslgoi.

There are people who figured out some things.

For Horde talking to Alliance, I know two things.

ah ah = ha ha
ah d d c = ha l l o

I've seen people "say" "I kil l a l l", don't know what you have to put in to get this, though. (but I know that kil comes out for may three-letter words.)

there is no translation. it is randomized for each full word. the best one to say if your on horde is W X W D THT IS IS which means

A N A L HOG HA HA

There's a website out there somewhere that has a chart for some matches but its not a straight a=b type of translation. Each character can match up to 3 other characters I think. And orcish might translate differently from whatever undead speak normally for instance. Google is your friend if you're that desperate to translate. I find the built in emotes do the job just fine. Find yourself a nice corner where you won't spam anyones chat box and test them to find what you like.

Once I saw an Ally in Shattrath yelling "I L O V E Y O U" and once a 34 human pally told me "Y O U L O S E" before I ganked him. Not sure what they put in to say it though.

I love you is "k ai am d c p"/"k ee aa d a p" (not sure about the I = k right now).
I've met a guy who had "you lose" macro'd, but he was at another computer at the time so he couldn't tell me. But I think you can only say "you loose", so it's spelled wrong. Or he was just stupid, don't know.

Love my "/y ai am d c p" macro. /happy

the language thing may also be different for each server, but it's hard to tell. just because bur could mean lol on your server doesnt mean its the same on mine or anyone elses.

blizzard worked hard to secure language barriers

I was recently talking to a fellow undead from another server who came to Rexxar with the explicit purpose of trying to figure out some type of translation. After a lengthy discussion it became clear that Blizzard uses tables to convert the letters into numbers and then from numbers to letters, thus creating something unintelligible if you're on the Horde side trying to communicate with the Alliance side and vice versa. You would never be able to get it to be a precise translation i.e. verbatim because of the randomization of the numbers. But who knows, maybe somebody out there who is smarter than I or just more **** might be able to figure this XML out.

Edit: Also, the concept is simple, but it's there that the complexity lies.

I was recently ganking goldshire (where the lvl 11s tried to kill me) all you have to do is get on the roof of the inn and noone can get you.... anyway i found this out from a friend who was there(on alli)

f=a
i=l
u=l
l=n

now this only works if u space them out and if u speak orchish.....i will find out more...

It's the same.

I got some of the information I use from someone from a completely different server (not even same region).

And there are a few things that directly translate, thus letting you say a very limited amount of sentences/words.
