A. If you are in a guild, have a guildie Mage teleport you there, or a guildie warlock summon you. Don't ask someone you don't know, unless you are prepared to pay, be ignored, or end up underwater.

B. The long way...
  1. Take the boat to Auberdeen
  2. Take the Boat from Auberdeen to Menethil Harbor
  3. If you ask nicely, maybe you can get an escort at Menethil. You'll have to go through Wetlands and Loch Modan. Chances of getting attacked by something bad are high.
  4. Don't forget to pick up the Flight path in Menethil Harbor
  5. Take the main road out of Menethil. Stay on the road. run fast and don't try to fight anything, even if you are escorted.
  6. Go throught the Algaz gate (tunnel in the hills). Watch out for L18-20 orcs
  7. When you get to Loch Modan, keep going straight, because you'll want to tag the flight path at Thelsamar.
  8. Leaving Thelsamar, you'll want to continue in the same direction.
  9. Make a right turn at the Valley of Kings. Continue on the road into Dun Morogh
  10. Keep on the road until you come to a Tee intersection - you'll see a bridge on the right hand path.
  11. Go across the bridge - there will be another road going up the hill take that road.
  12. When you get to ironforge, ask the guards where the flight master is, so you can tag the flight path.
  13. From Ironforge, you will need to take the deep-run tram to Stormwind. The tram entrance is in Tinkertown (the gnome area).
  14. When you get to Stormwind, don't forget to tag the flight path,

Those are good directions. I’d also suggest taking off your armor and weapons through the Wetlands and the orcs between the tunnels. They won’t save you and you may as well save the repair bill. You can equip them again when you start seeing mobs about your level.

I would also suggest leaving your pet out in defensive mode. If you get attacked your pet will defend you and hopefully allow you to get away. If the mob stops chasing you before you agro a new mob, resurrect your pet and repeat.

And don’t worry too much about dying. All it will really cost you is some time.

If you're high enough, you could ask someone to que you up for a Battleground at Stormwind, go into the BG, leave, and you'll be at Stormwind.

This is good advice.

One point I'd like to add is that your pet will despawn if you go beyond a certain distance from it so you can let your pet take aggro from you and run away and if you can get far enough the pet will despawn before it dies and all you have to do is call it again and it won't be all injured and unhappy.
