Is anyone else watching this right now?

There was an amazing opening by Tenacious D, followed by a great 3d-shooter mock with Samuel L. Jackson.

But the best part is they will be showing the opening sequence from TBC.

Sam: "Can we edit that out?"
Announcer: "Sorry, it's already on youtube."

EDIT:

Too bad AFI sucks though...

I watched the whole thing JUST for the WOW segment...no wonder folks call us Nerds...what a waste of time...and to think, I used to admire Mr. Trashmouth (Samuel L)...and WOW didn't even get a mention other then the "world premier", which was over shadowed by some female conductor with her hooded singers...

Geez...think I'll just skip it from now on, lol

Well seeing as this was the 2006 video game awards, and WoW was released how many years ago, of course it wouldn't get much mention since it wouldn't be eligable for any awards.

I was suprised at Elder Scrolls though, seems the RPGers are coming out, I mean usually the game of the year is some shooter action game or something that apeases to the masses, where RPG's are big but usually have a dedicated fan base and aren't for everyone. Must be a really good RPG, might have to get it and check it out.

I stumbled across the last minute or so. Elder Scrolls wins (no surprise there) and

"I'm in your motherf!@#ing base killing you motherf!@#ing dudes!"

Samuel L Jackson is my hero.

If you can catch the rerun, be sure to watch the opening acts. Trust me, it'll be worth it.

I dislike the Spike TV awards.

I watched the first one (a few years ago) and Sam Jackson refered to GTA:Vice City as Grand Theft Auto 3...

so I decided they didn't know what they were talking about and decided to never watch it again.

lol.

Oblivion was a great game. I played it to death for about a month. Its a single player game that is wide open and expansive like a MMO. My freinds and I just wish they would do a MMO version of it with that same fighting engine.

That's because it didn't come out during the timeframe for these awards.
