Please don't post here about private servers as all of us are paying blizzard players.

this is not a forum for private servers.

Private servers are illegal. Go away.

There is no Allakhazam server that I know of.

This is a player-based information site to help players of the Official version of the game on Blizzard's servers.

The majority of players using this site pay to play on the Official Blizzard servers.

LordKnight -- "Private server" may not mean what you thought it did. You are getting unhappy answers because this is a site that helps people play the official WoW game. When they read "private server" it seems like you are asking for help with a trick to play the game for free and that is not something this site supports.

If you are having trouble playing WoW, try to tell us as clearly as you can what the trouble is. If you are trying to play for free, this is not the site for such things and you will not get help. If you are having trouble with something else, people here are very friendly and helpful.

Note to others -- I understand that bots, gliders, RMT and other subjects are a hot button. It does look like the OP has one of those issues, but it could be a language problem. For those of you who don't work in a TESOL/ESL environment, it can be hard to imagine the horrors that can spring from an electronic dictionary and phrase dominated learning. Please be patient with the non-native speakers?

A private server is a server running the the wow server side software. Clients like you and I connect to the blizzard servers. If you had a stolen copy of the server software, you could illegally start up a private server at home, make yourself all powerful on it, and play for free. This is strictly against the terms of service, and stealing software in any form is illegal. That is why we react so strongly to it.

Looks like english to me, Though I guess maybe we misunderstood ... no wait ...

If it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. That or some kinda of quacking tiger, in which case you should probably run.

If it is a language problem, I hope we will get further information from the poster so that we may offer helpful suggestions.

And Honorable... I forgot to add my reply to you... so according to you, all posters who state something you think is aimed at violating the ToS of WoW or doing some other type of nefarious behavior is automatically guilty of such until other people create meaningful dialogue and verify whether or not your flaming is warranted? Just checking.

By reading his posts I'm still not sure of what has was asking about.. either way, I was simply referring to people jumping on him (which you were not one of) and just telling him to go away. Please note I did say not ALL of the poster were nailing this guy and not trying to understand what he was asking.

As for me being quick to assume.. I disagree. While I'm far from perfect and have certainly jumped to judgement in the past, I wasn't assuming in this instance. In fact, I actually thought about how to state that and figured I was damned no matter how I phrased it. If I said English duck, I would have been asked how I knew whomever was British.. haha.

Did I EVER say anyone's name in my threads? I'll save your answer... no, I didn't. I actually thought Dadanox's answer was one of the ones that were relatively helpful and sincere.

As to you referring to me and my stick, nice... very mature and thank you for keeping this discussion at a decent level.

I seem to remember someone posting somewhere on here about people flaming and talking crap about people solely because they say something unpopular. I can't help if you took my comments to heart and assumed I was talking about you or your friend Dadanox... I'm sorry you feel like I was singling you out even though I BLATANTLY stated I wasn't and never used anyone's names until I was called out by them..

so here, let me make this very plain to you... I WASN"T TALKING ABOUT YOU TSETSUO... is that clear enough? You're post in the beginning was helpful and constructive. Later in ths post string, not so much.

You can argue any point, that's your right.. but to write as if I was talking to you and seem take it personally... that I found odd. I have absolutely no problem with you and in fact, many times I agree wtih most of your posts and that's why I was going out of my way t oensure you understood I wasn't talking about you.

As for the issue of you being American or not... just thinking about it, your signature show a US server if I'm not mistaken and doesn't Blizz restrict US servers to US side clients? If that's so, I guess you could be a foreigner working and playing in the US, but would the assumption of you being an American be that off the mark? Just as one would logically assume that someone playing on a Chinese would be in all likelyhood, Chinese? You already know my reasoning for stating American duck... but was just thinking about the issue.

Ugh... this is becomign tiresome and thankfully, I'm going home soon to play so I'll not be on here for the remainder of the night.

I already told you why I called it an American duck... since I knew that if I had called it an English duck someone would have found fault with that as well.. . so basically I figured I was screwed either way.

With my most recent post, I was simply thinking about how I would have made an assumption about a poster's whereabouts... so I looked at your sig, noticed that your server is a US side... blah blah blah...

This horse is not officially VERY dead and though I'm definitely enjoying the discourse, I'm going home now. Please take no offense as this post, initially wasn't even directed towards you and the latter posts were more just me making playing devil's advocate and watching the time go by during a slow night at work.
