10- you get your first talent point

40- you get your mount, and (usually) an armor upgrade.

50- only 10 more levels until you've *won*

56- You get to finally go to places like Strat, Scholo, and DM without being harassed too much

60- you *won*!

I'm looking for additional opininos to this. Why do you think to have me re-think a couple of those? Besides there being an extra ten to hit, of course.

Because 50 won't be 10 to go, it will be 20 to go, 60 won't be the end, 70 will be. I was just messing with you.

Basically you get something decent every 10 levels, then on the 2's you get godo stuff too. So at level 10, 12, 20, 22, 30, 32, 40, 42, 50, 52, 60 (and soon to be 62 and 70) you get spell upgrades or new stuff.

I like hitting 20 because it means I can finally get expert fishing since I usually max out my fishing at 150 well before I hit 20. 20 also seems to be the point my characters get a bunch quests taking them to all sorts of interesting places.

My favourite level has always been 40. I just love the moment I ding, heading straight to the vendor to buy my mount and riding skills. Since during your 30s you're usually doing a lot of running in Stranglethorn from one end to the other, finally getting that mount after this marathon is really rewarding.

It seems like lvl 20 has good new talents for a lot of classes, or maybe it's just the ability to go to next level of professions. I just know I always seem to like hitting 20.

30 was great for my warrior because I could start the whirlwind weapon quest.

I've felt like the worst had been post 40 up to about 55. Everything seems to be such a grind, and the gear disparities widen to the point that you feel like you're constantly under-geared. Too many quests rewards that are useless too.

I always kind of liked when I hit the levels where I could get the new food/water. Seems trivial, but when you go from the level before waiting forever to get your health/mana back to those bars cranking up when you get the new stuff, it was a nice change. Also, I thought 51 was significant because no one would appear as a ?? for level any longer.

Getting that cherry pie at level 45 from that Gnome in IF was a lot of fun.

For me, 40 was great, for the mount and going from leather to mail, but 60 was the best since the last few levels was mainly grinding on WPL and EPL.

yeah for warriors level 40 is huuuuuge: mount, plate, mortal strike.

i also recall the "no more ??" feeling at 51, that felt a lot better than 50.

I cant say any level has been better or worse for me, for either of my toons, until i hit 50 on sunday.

It was a mixture of the first time i have used my shaman in a week, the new talents, and dinging 50 to get my level 50 resto shaman talent.

If it didnt all happen like that in one day, I wouldnt have been as thrilled.

So level If i had to make a list for my shaman it would be,
Level 20 - ghost wolf
Level 40 - mail/mount/lvl 40 talent (mana tide)
Level 50 - level 50 talent (earth shield)
level 60 - ?? Hopefully something fun.

My hunter:
Level 10 - obtaining that first pet, always fun
Level 20 - aspect of the cheetah
Level 40 - mount/aspect of the pack
Level 60 - Of course a 60 char, who doesnt love it?

Best levels to hit?

Level 60, you have won? I have 30 days played on my main character, 18 of them since I have "won".

There are only two levels of any significance at all to me.

Level 40 changes the game for many classes and give access to a mount.
Level 60 (soon to be level 70) and the end game content opens up.

I see several people mention level 10. I can't think of anything I can accomplish in WoW in one sitting to be a "landmark".

With my pally 51 was huge.

Holy Shock and the IBS.

Upgraded from my Bonerbiter. It was a pretty significant increase in DPS.

Best levels in my opinion are, of course, 60 because your priorites change so much, no more just killing stuff to level, at 60 you get to start doing stuff for FUN. Other than that I'd say x9 are the best levels, because u PWN in BGs... most of the time anywho.

lol, I will try to remember that while I am building AD faction. But seriously, even when I am grinding I am still having fun, otherwise I wouldn't be playing.

Bonerbiter?? Wow better look out for the ladies duel wielding that.

Yeah the only lvl that really stick out in my mind are 40 and 60 for all the same reasons that everyone else mentioned.

You don't "win" an MMORPG.

Although I'm only 54 I'd have to say 51 was the best. My first AV with any toon. Bliss. Although there was a ton of lag I put up around 112 HK, won the game, and soloed a lvl 60 warrior

60 FTW

Seriously, I only have fun when I level, unlike a TON of my friends, I can sit there and grind on my warrior for hours and never get bored. Thats probably why I made 8 days played/level 47 though I've seen plenty faster. I view 60 as mountaintop -then you're free. No more leveling, I can get blacksmithing up, PvP, raid, get epics, go anywhere...until BC comes out of course..then its back to the 5 hour grinding/questing sessions that only I seem to find fun :D.

Well I loved hitting 60 for one. But lately on all of my alts every 10 levels I can breathe a sigh of relief because there are always some neat new spells or abilities. I just got my warlock to 20 and I got the summoning and succubus and all of that, and now it feels almost like a new game. I love every level of the game really, because it is always fun.
