Server Login Queue????Follow

Perhaps it's to prepare us for the inevitable massive queues, lag, restarts and crashing that will come with the TBC release.

There were a lot of servers down for a while last night even though they were still showing as 'up' on the realm status page. Queues were huge on the servers that were still up and running.

I never used to run into queues at all on Cenarius until this past week or so. It seems like the server has gotten a lot busier recently and we sometimes get queues during prime playing hours (early evenings).

Speaking of this, last night I was doing a timed quest. Anyway I got the quest done, returned in plenty of time, talked to the questgiver, when I went to choose my reward, I choose then completed quest, I got the Xp and the faction Rep, but I never got the reward and it kept the choose reward screen up. So I clicked it again, it made the sound for the xp, never got extra xp though. So I closed that window, now the timer is still running on the quest so I figured I would just let the timer run out. Timer get's to zero, I try talking to him but can't doesn't have the talk icon pop up, wtf??? So I abbandon quest in my log(even though it says completed), now the ! is over his head, talk icon shows up, I try to talk to him and nothing.

Then I go to another person with the talk icon pops up, right click nothing, then I go to a merchant right click, nothing, I left click and he says "how may I help you" or whatever voiced generic saying he has, but when I want to right click nothing happens. Everything else is working fine. So I don't panic, I tell myself the first thing you try when having a problem is reboot So I try to exit the game, nothing. Won't let me logout, won't let me exit the game completely. So I'm like oh crap I have to hard boot the game this can't be good for an online game, anyway I ctrl+alt+delete my way out. Restart my computer. Log into the game. Connect and it gets stuck trying to connect to my character. I let it try to connect for a good 5 minutes, I cancel try to change worlds to see if my other character is screwed up too. So I change worlds and it is showing I have 1 character in both worlds but I try my other character anyway, and the queue is like 700 and going to take 30 minutes, so I said ***** it and shut it down went to bed.

I am at work now, but is everything fixed and working good again, or am I going to go home and find that my characters are gone?
