Okay.. I played for about six months straight quite a while ago, then I joined the army. Quit through basic training and tech school, and just now (about a year after quitting) I started playing again. I gave my old account to my brother who literally never plays, and I started a new account.. I just went over both new and old accounts and I have a 41, a 44, 6 29-31s, 3 or 4 25ish, and 9 or 10 10-20s.

I think that's enough to diagnose ADD on the spot.

I'm the same way. Though I did play dedicated on a hunter a while back before my break and got 60. Now that the hunter is gone I have about 15 toons between 7-32.

Yep, I had every class at least 30 and even started working on a second Hunter and Warrior.
My first 60 was Warrior, I grouped with 2 friends from 10 to 60 though, so that was an easy push. My second 60 was Priest, I grouped with a friend off and on through the levels, he kept me on track. On my own I can make it to 40-45 before dumping the character in favor of a new one.

I play the exact same way.

I have currently 8 toons - one of each character class from Alliance (saving a spot for shamans).

Each toon handles one of the tradeskills for my cast of characters.

I've only been playing for about a month and a half on WoW

Warrior 15 - Blacksmith/Mining
Hunter 33 - Leatherworking/Skinner
Warlok 21 - Alchemy/Herbalism
Priest 15 - Tailoring/Enchanting
Mage 12 - Herbalism/Mining
Paladin 11 - Mining/Skinning
Druid 13 - Skinning/Herbalism
Rogue 8 - Engineering/Mining

I was probably the worst case of altism in the game during my glory days.

At one point I was up to 20 active characters spread out over four servers and even two versions of the game.

I was the same way after I had my first 60 (Pally) which I never ended up playing. I was disappointed with the Paladin class overall at the time so I was constantly playing though other classes up to the 30-40 range. Then I finally got on a server I ended up liking more and transfered what was then my second highest level character, a 47 priest. Even once I was on my new server, I was still a little apathetic towards hitting sixty. Though, eventually, a friend of mine forced me into a Scholo run with her when I was about 54 (it worked out fine cause she and her warrior friend were both decked out in a mix of tier 1 and 2) which reminded me how much I loved the end-game, so I sprinted to sixty and started collecting my gear, etc, etc, etc...

So basically, try and figure out what you want to do in this game, cause once you do you'll most likely want to do it as best you can, which typically requires being level 60.

I used to haunt the beta forums, waiting for the game to come out. I even managed to play in the two open betas. So before I bought the game I’d already worked out my battle plan, as it were. The day the game came out I created a character for each of the alliance classes. Though I concentrated on my rogue most, I played all my characters. So it took me a while to hit 60. But now I have eight level 60 characters and two more about to ding.

I really like leveling characters. I love the quests. I love watching my character’s skills progress. When my characters hit 60 and I max out their skills they more or less die. I’ve recently joined an end game guild. But even now I find it hard to log on with that character, since unless there’s something going on I have nothing to do. I’m hoping that will soon change with this guild.

I too took an extended break from the game. Now I'm hooked again, and yeah I have "altitis" pretty bad.

my problem lately is that i'll get my character to level 8-10 then i'll go make another one of either a diff class or a different race, and on occasion if i get to talking to someone i'll go make a character on their server so i can hang out more, even though i'm more into the game to make friends and have fun with them on here, it can bog a person down lol. so i feel ya.

I am like you to an extent. I have tried a lot of different characters and races, both Horde and Alliance, and several different servers. Now, I pretty much have a main, but it is on a crowded server, so when I can't get on there, I will play a different character.
