Leatherworking QuestionsFollow

I have completed the journeyman phase of leatherworking. At least I think I have. My skill is 150/150, however when I go back for training in expert, there isnt anything available. I have been going to Ironforge for the training.

Where do I need to go to move on to the next level. The trainer I was using is an expert, so I would have thought I could have learned it there.

Or is there something else I am missing?

Also, where do I go to purchase some of the potions that are used in making armor. Some of the recipies I have use elixer of agility, etc and one of them uses spider silk. Are there vendors for these items or do I need to hunt in specific areas to get them?

Thanks!

Once you reach that level there's usually one specific person who can get you higher. The lower-level trainers will tell you, if you read the message that tells you they cannot train you. For fishing, as an example, I had to go to Booty Bay and buy a book to get my skill cap increased to 225. I assume it works the same way for the other skills, but correct me if I'm wrong :)

To see the trainers for leatherworking check the link on this site at:

Spider Silk drops off spiders in Duskwood (I'm only 26 in lvl, so may just be encountering mobs that do for the first time) but not very often. As you rightly surmised, the Auction House will be your friend.

The next trainer you need is the artisan trainer who is found in lovely Darnassus. Go to Menethil Harbor, take the boat on the right side of the dock to Auberdene, then either take the boat directly across from that one (on the other pier) or take the hippogryph to Rut'theran Village. Then proceed to run thru the fru fru pink portal into Darnassus and ask a guard to direct you. The artisan trainer will get you to 225, then you must seek out the master.

As for the supplies you are looking for, the potions are player made and can usually be bought in the AH or by just asking in the trade channel; the spider's silk is a drop from various spiders across the world, I've had pretty good luck with getting it to drop from the spiders in Duskwood.

Good luck!

Thank you both so much! I was starting to get frustrated. :)

I'll take a trip to Darnassus and see how I fare there. It's about time I did some exploring anyway. :)
