#1 Dec 08 2006 at 12:13 PM Rating: Decent
I am getting 0xp and i want to know why. i have done 5 different quests that this quest guide says i would get 1000-2000xp each. but i still got none. i have ran through The deadmines 3 times with some people but still got 0xp. This is seriously Hindering my attempt to lvl 60.
i am a lvl 20 Night elf warrior if that helps.

Trial accounts are capped at L20.

That's my best guess. Looks like it's time to buy the game.

Umm I think the game's confirming it for you.

If its a trial account, your free ride is over and they have you hooked.

Fork over the 20 or 30 bucks or however much it costs now and continue on your merry way.

Money well spent :)

Recruit-A-Friend FAQ
Recruit-A-Friend FAQ wrote:

What restrictions apply to trial accounts?
The following restrictions are placed on all trial accounts:

* A level cap of 20.
* A maximum of 10 gold.
* Trade skills are capped at 100 ranks.
* Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.
* In-game chat channels will be unavailable.
* A limit on the number of tells that can be sent.
* Realms with login queues will give priority to customers with retail accounts.

These restrictions are only in place during the trial period. Players who decide to upgrade their accounts will be able to continue adventuring with the same characters and take full advantage of all features included in the retail version of the game.

Now *that* would definately be the definition of a compulsive lier right there.

I've only had 821 posts of making stuff up myself. I'm a bit behind.

This raises an interesting question in my mind. If while using a trial account, one reaches lvl20 and capps, but continues to fight monsters, will the xp not gained be added retroactively once a viable account has been purchased, or is the trial grinder screwed?

It wouldn't be added retroactively. It's a cap.

Sounds about right for me as well. After, of course you subtract the 200-300 random silly posts I have made, the 100-200 or so helpful posts I've made, and the 1000 or so posts I've made debating twinks with Allegory.

Its only a cap as long as its a trial account, as soon as its upgraded to a regular account, there is no cap. Thus I ask the question again, after the cap is removed by upgrading to a regular account, does any xp not gained while playing durring a trial account that would normally have given xp, but did not due to the cap, be retroactively added once the cap is lifted upon upgrading to a regular account? That is the question I'm asking.

As he said, No. The level cap is 60. Does that mean when the xpac hits and the cap is raised do we automatically get all the exp we gained through killing things?

No, you won't get the XP back retroactively.

Now that would be sweet. Install the xpack, hop on your 60 and DING you're 70 from all that XP you should have gotten before but didn't because you were capped.

I don't think it is. Think of it as an incentive to upgrade.
