It's generally referred to as Ironforge Airport, and it's currently inaccessable.

It sounds almost like the airport, hard to tell. Do you see it on while flying to the wetlands?

It is the ironforge airport, it is an unfinished area. You can currently get there through a glitch in loch modan, but their is really nothing to do out there.
If you talk to some of the gnome NPS's out there it says something about airplane races, and also their is a blocked off tunnel that should probely go to ironforge.
If you are that curious about it you can go search on youtube for ironforge airport and watch some videos of people going there.
If you want to check it out thats what you need to do.
Sure would like to know if Blizzard has any plans for the area or if it will continue to be nothing.

Aye, the Airport. I've been there, but it looks like a zone waiting to be expanded. There's a guard tower, and big tunnel into the mountains, with guards, but even though it looks like it might lead to an underground town, it is blocked off. There's an interesting feature on the icy lake where Gnomeregan Refugees are fleeing trolls, and there's a bunch of guards trying to help them survive the attacking trolls. There's also a Hunter trainer too, but she's just an ordinary one - I'd hoped she might have had a quest or two, possibly.

The planes look great, I think, and I posed for a few screenshots beside them. Pity you can't hire one to fly you around, as you can do with the hippogriffs.
