#1 Dec 06 2006 at 3:21 PM Rating: Default
My problem is, ever since I got the patch, I cant stay on WoW for more then 5 mintues. Well last night it worked, but now...well I cant even get on. My internet connection is 100% but WoW is not working. When I first logged on my character didnt even load, I was invisable for 10 minutes, then I restarted and he loaded, but im getting disconnected from the server every 1-3 mins. Anyone else have this issue?

there was a note about this last night after the servers came up, are you still having this issue today?

i have had no problems logging in on my server, FYI it is ONLY a few servers, so you might want to try changing servers to see if that is the problem. if you are still getting kicked out, then you will have to post your netstat and ping to the proper wow IP/URL address on the tech forum sticky posts to get further help.

if changing servers solves the issue, then just make sure to post the details to the tech forum with your dxdiag.txt and other pertnant info so blizzard will have more information about your server that is crashing.

I had this problem, someone told me to delete my WTF and Interface folders in my WoW directory. Don't worry, WoW will make new copies of these folders when you start again.

Worked for me.

What it does thought is totally revert your settings to the default as if you'd just installed WoW and are running it for the first time.

You'll have to manually adjust all your settings (video, sound, interface anything) and also put in your mods into your interface folder again, if any.

Yeah, I was finally able to login by deleting the WTF and interface folders, only problem is in game all the objects are transparent or something, and if i try to change any of the video settings, I get the blue screen of death.

I've never been the type to start ranting because blizz made us wait a few hours to log on(heaven forbid), but I really hope the bugs that came with this patch get sorted soon. Maybe it's the fact that while WOW has had the odd problem, I've never been stuck out of the game this long in the whole 20 months I've been playing. With the fact that their quality response may be partly why this seems so long, I'll remain patient...so long as they do fix things.
