Or is it the same as before where you would just get the exp points for turning in tokens?

I tried looking it up on the Oboards but all I've been getting is "server is busy"

I'm wondering if leveling up from doing BG's is any faster now.

Thanks,

You do not get any exp from bgs at all. You cant turn in tokens for anything but rewards now. Only xp is from killing the NPC's in AV.

But but but I heard that this patch would introduce auto exp in BGS!!! LIKE SEVAN PPL TOLD ME!!!!!!!!!!

just kidding ...

The new honor system is awesome ... if only it was rewarding points properly (I have lots of honor but zero currency, and from what I've read it is supposed to be there).

This patch is the rebirth of twinks. Better reward system + no exp = FUN.

The game will turn the honor into currency every night, once a day, so, you gain honor today and can use it tomorrow.
From now, turning the marks doesn't give you rep anymore, it only raises your honor exp a little, and you use them also to buy the equips (20 marks for most epic equips, 40 marks for epic weapons).

I think the new Marks system is stupid.
I was looking for the guy to hand them in to (for Rep) and he's not there anymore.
Going to take a bit longer to get Exalted now.

You can't, the only thing marks are used for anymore is buying stuff. That means no WSG rep for alliance anymore, but theres no use for it anymore so it doesn't matter.

They changed the location of the battlemasters in Stormwind now though. Rather then in the same room as the king, they are now located in the room in the far back of it.

Well then. Thank you for the info. I though that you might be able to turn in the marks for extra Honor/Currency. Time to bank them for a bit.

Thanks again.

Sad but true, leveling off PVP was a fun way to break the monotony of grinding/questing at times as well as breaking up the BG rep grind.

Wish they would find someway around that since the leveling aspect is a nice perk that encourages people to PVP at lower levels.

By the time you hit Exalted with WSG you'll have enough honor points and marks to buy the R14 set pieces that require WSG marks, so why bother?

I made around 1,000 honor points from the time it took me to reach 130/6000 with Silverwing Sentinels faction.

By the time I even hit Friendly I'll have enough honor points to buy two pieces of the epic PvP gear and at least enough marks for one item.

I think.

There is no reason to gain rep now.

I expect Blizzard will do something for the Rep system, because they didn't take it out. Don't dismiss it yet...

As far as I am aware, the battlemasters were never in the kings room in IF...

Weren't they always in the Warrior/Hunter Hall place?

QFT but damn I loved leveling from the x5-x0 level frame in PvP it did really break up the grind. I got about 2% exp from each 3 marks I turned in. Well damn damn damn.

I'm off to grind Smiley: snore

What about the battleground-specific food, potions, and bandages you had to get to friendly before you could buy? Do you still need the rep? Do i still have to travel to the grove to buy the rewards for marks/ honor?
#20 Dec 08 2006 at 8:54 PM Rating: Decent
i believe u can just buy them now without the rep but im not sure..

anywayz im off to grinding

EVERYTHING you could buy before by rep is still available.

But you now have to spend honor for it, which is rediculous.

Anyone trying to get their epic stuff should never, in any way, buy a potion.

I highly advise they skip the superior set too, because you just have to farm back honor.

Except for the Eye of Command Quests and the Exhaulted Quest to get a 5 cap in AB for the AB Tabard.

What is this Exhaulted that you speak of?

It appears you can get around 1-5 honor per kill in BG in groups and 5-25 honor per kill if solo'd. In WSG you gain honor by how many flags you cap and in AB on how many resources you've collected.

It also appears that AV hasn't changed a bit for the Horde. Still got those honor grinders out there that are willing to trade (3 tokens and extra 50-100 honor to Alliance) for their (1 token and whatever amount of honor Alliance decides to give us). For those that have been around a while, AV used to be really fun. A typcial game would last for about 3 hours and it was fun as hell. Now, it's like grinding Timbermaw rep. There's no strategy in place and it's not being played like it used to be.

And for those Alliance in Tier 2 that's coming in pre-mades...I love you guys. I always thought I sucked at PvP but after playing you guys for the past few days I've found a new appreciation for my skills in PvP. It's very obvious you don't belong on the Battlefields. It's very obvious that those of you (Alliance) in Marhsal gear got it handed to you from the Horde in their "willing to lose for honor" mentality they have today. Please whatever you do Alliance keep qeueing up in your Pre-made groups and be sure to wear your best gear. There's nothing I like more than to prove to you again and again, that you don't belong here. And for the Alliance that qeue's up on your own to take the field, you have my upmost respect. Not everyone has the fortitude you do. And lastly but not leastly, my hat goes off to Alliance for the healing they do in the BGs. You definitely know how to play your characters when you take the time to heal. And even though many don't give a rats *** about my opinion anyway, good job to Alliance healers.
