If you are receiving the error, "Unable to Validate Game Version" after patching, please try logging in and out with another user/profile for Windows and/or try using the "Run as..." method by following these steps:

For those who making a new windows account does NOT work, try this:
Right click on your WoW icon.
Select "Run As..."
Mark the bubble "The following user:"
Select your normal login, if you dont HAVE one that you normally login with, it may appear as something like "Compaq_Owner" etc.
Type in a password if applicable.
Click Ok.
This worked for me, even while logged in from my main account. Hope that helps.
