to be honest all clases can solo.. but some are slower than overs at leveling. generaly hunters/rogues are the faster levelers...classes like paladin and warrior are slower.

Pick a Hunter. Good soloers, fairly easy to get the hang of with some rather nifty utility skills.

if your talkin about fast killing...rouges or hunters
if your talkin about gettin the best exp id go with lock. im a 40 lock and right now tolvl im takin on3 38-39 mobs at a time. rouges do the most dps but die more easily. hunters they probably are more like the warlock/rouge mix

Rouges are overpowdered. (See FAQ Section I, #4)

Beware, hunters are also a hugely overplayed class so finding groups will cut into your fast leveling time.

i have no problem finding groups with my hunter (lvl 28)
and it can solo real nice.
druids are also nice solo chars, but they have a much harder time finding a group cause a druid doesn have a role in a group like warriors, priests or mages
a druid usually falls in the random extra player for the group slot.

If you want a class that can do interesting things solo, consider rogue or druid. They can stealth to useful and fun places by themselves. If you want to actually play solo, I would go that route.

BTW: This is not a flame reply.

Druids don't have problems getting groups. Me playing a druid, I got accepted to all my requests. Do you know what it's like having a backup healer in a 5man? An offhand tank in a 5man? More DPS in a 5man?

If your priest grabs aggro and dies in a few hits, GOOD thing there is a backup healer. Your tank dies or gets overwhelmed? Good thing you have bear form with an aggro taunt.

If you don't need to fill the role of tank or healer, perfect, go in cat form and DPS your way through the instance. OOPS, PRIEST RAN OUT OF MANA, LETS GO BACKUP HEAL THE TANK WHICH IS ALMOST DEAD...!

Plus, if you are using a shaman or something other than a priest for healing, druids do have a resurrect spell (with a horrible, but can-manage cooldown of 30 minutes, and i THINK 15 with a certain trinket)... anyways, this post was to show that druids are in no way turned down for anything... they are a VERY versatile class.
