Did I just get lucky with this?Follow

My mount cost me 90 gold (81 gold for skill 9 gold for raptor) instead of the usual 100g everyone else (besides warlocks and palladins) pays. So did I just get lucky, or do Shammans have something special that gives them a discount. I also sound that a level 60 mount would cost 90 gold instead of the 100. So how did this happen? This is my first mount so I am of course new to the concept.

Your reputation with Darkspear trolls is at honored or higher so you get a 10% discount on all purchases from them.

Ahh, makes perfect sense. Also if my reputation with different cities go up does the cost for Flight go down?

Yes, but the discount never gets better than the 10% as far as I know.

I think for the flights, the discount is only applied flying from that city and not to it. Some flight path locations are just really expensive to fly to and from for some reason. I could never figure out why it costs so much to fly to or from Splintertree post.

No, actually...that is how much mounts cost. But those of us (ehemm...me, for example) who borrowed gold from a friend got (usually) 100 gold. Therefore, we say 100 gold. >.>
The downside? Paying back that gold sucks.

[Thats just my example]
