K so, all realms are "up and accepting players" according to Blizz, but when I try to get on to my main Realm (Malfurion) with all my toons on it I'm currently stuck at the "Retrieving Character list" message... anyone else experiencing this? Does it just take a long time the first time or what? Thanks for any replies! =)

Yeah...my main server is Smolderthorn and its having the same problem =/
I tried other servers and some of them work, some dont...
hope this is fixed soon

Same thing here in bloodhoof.. logged in just fine the first time.. but couldnt get past loading screen... now it just doesnt work at all

Hellscream is down as well (at least I can't get on). I also can't seem to get on the main WOW website. It just locks up, which might be because 100,000 annoyed gamers are asking the same question about their realms.

Same thing on deathwing.....got on the first time, respecced than went to the trainer. Re trained one talent then it got bugged out. Decided to relog and couldnt, so i force quit. Ever since then been stuck on retrieving character.

same here, got stuck in the looting position while in a never ending lag spike and then alt F4'd out since i couldnt log out any other way, now i'm stuck at Retrieving character list

Same thing on Spinebreaker. Can't get on to the wow forums either to check Realm Status.

Well with the amount of Realms we can now see don't work, you'd think Blizz would jump on this ASAP, or at least put another notice up at the login page but... guess not...

Same thing on Laughing Skull. I hope the new patch isn't conflicting with my interface. I'm running Insomniax Recompilation. I know the new patch has a ton of interface mods in it so maybe that's the problem. Can anybody get on that's not running a 3rd party interface or other mods?

not sure if that would matter, since all mods/addons were immediately disabled and labeled as Incompatible.

Uldaman and Ysondre are up, but my glorious Kul Tiras isn't. For some reason the new zones and Outland are on the world map, kinda strange. Also, lots of diff stats on character page. I heard of a neqw GY in Durotar, maybe Blizz did some rearranging?

Same in Laughing SKull. but in Turylon i can log on my lvl 7 alt.
And the stoopid website wont work either.

Basicly i have found if the population of the realm is low it is probably one of the ones which you cant get on.

I am on Malfurion (US) as well..greetings to you all! I'm stuck too =/ . Hopefully it'll get worked out soon, can't really complain with all the material that's being updated.
