Need advice on epic mountFollow

So I can't decide if I should go ahead and save up for an epic mount. I think I am either at or very close to the point where there just isn't that much for me in the AH to blow my money on (which is good since that happens a lot) and all my gear should be coming from BoP drops.

I currently have around 175g and I have at least 250g worth of stuff in the AH (a Helm Of Narv and some Tier 0 set pieces). If necessary I could come up with another 200-300 pretty easily by dumping all of my Alchemy supplies on the AH. So if everything sells I would then have over 500g.

What do you folks think? Is it worth getting now or are there some BoE items that I should be buying first? I would really like to buy it but that might just be because I am bored with the game right now and I want something new.

Save up for the mount. They make a surprisingly big difference, whereas (as you said) you can get much better BoP gear from instances(/raids) than the BoE you buy from the AH.

I still don't know why I bought an epic mount for my mage, when the druid is my main.../sigh. Another 400g to go for me.

While I agree to buy the epic mount, i'd like to add one thing that others haven't said so far... while an epic mount is nice for PvE (mainly farming imo) the big difference comes in the form of PvP. Why bother getting to an instance or something faster when you're just going to have to wait for the rest of the people on slower mounts. Not really a big time saver in that sense. "A group is only as fast as the slowest person." So, the big draw for an epic mount is really in PvP or just farming solo. However, at the same time, you need to keep in mind that come TBC you're supposedly actually going to NEED flying mounts to get around fully and get to some instances. To get a flying mount you have to have your epic (150) riding skill it seems.

Good decision. Besides, I can tell you from playing the TBC beta, you are gonna get some good loot from even the starting 5-man dungeon. I see really nice BOP items in your future. I wouldn't be spending much money trying to buy marginal improvements in your lvl 60 gear in the ah right now. Not till the new items start coming in the AH from TBC.

Save up for you epic mount.

Get your gear from pvp, they are basically giving them away with this new patch. I earned 1 piece of blue pvp armor with 5 hours of pvp on the test realm.
