How can I travel to Kargath to get FP?Follow

Hi,

Level 38 Horde in UC. How can get to Kargath over land or water?

The Horde flight path at Kargath seems very handy to have.

thanks

Travel to Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands. Take the road south into the Wetlands, keep following it all the way south into Loch Modan. Yes this is all Alliance territory.

In Loch Modan, just south of the town Thelsamar, make your way east and south of the lake. Look at the zone map on this site to see whereabouts to run down into the Badlands.

Take a look at the Badlands map as well to see how to get to Kargath once you enter the zone. It's pretty much run south then west.

Or, you could always convince a warlock friend to go there and summon you. But where's the fun in that!

Easiest way is to:

In Arathi Highlands, go south to the wetlands.

Go south/southeast until you find the dun algaz tunnel.

Take the tunnel all the way and you will end up in Loch Modan (which is alliance territory, so just watch yourself)

Once in Loch Modan head for very middle of the southern most section and there will be a path in between the mountains to the Badlands.

Then you just need to head west until you find the town.

dang it, thermalnoise beat me to it Smiley: tongue

You will have to go through a couple of tunnels patrolled by dwarf guards. I just ran through, but it seems like they are tough enough that you don't want a fight.

You'll know you're on the right path when you go up a steep winding path with rams all around. That is the point where I turned around because it felt like I was entering an alliance town or something...turns out I needed to keep going.

It's a long walk from Arathi.

Get ready for a long trip! I find it best to start in Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands. Follow the road west until you see a sign that (I believe) says Wetlands-should point south. Follow road south, you will come to Thandol Span-a huge bridge. Cross this and you will be in the Wetlands. There are a few Alliance NPCs near the road to watch for, and you will eventually come to a road running east-west. Go left(east) and follow the road around the Wetlands until you come to the tunnels of Dun Algaz. There is a series of four tunnels(iirc). At the third tunnel there will be Alliance guards, level 30. For a PvE server, I'd suggest just run, you will be able to outrun them(if you attack them, it will flag you for PvP). I suppose on a PvP server it wouldn't matter, as you would be flagged now anyway(though attacking them will send out signals that you are there).

After the last tunnel you will be in Loch Modan. I always head directly east to the lake and swim south. When you come out of the lake at the southern end you will just need to go a little further south and you will be in the Badlands(noticable change in color of landscaping, green to orange!). Just inside the zone is the entrance to the instance, Uldaman-watch out for the elite dwarves working around the area). Depending on your level, avoid or fight coyotes, stealthed cats and buzzards and head west towards Kargath.

Best way to do it is what everyone else said....oh, and take a friend, preferably a bit higher level if you know one. :)

I'd suggest waiting to do that journey until you have your mount. I made the mistake of trying it before I got mine... and trust me, it's no picnic! It just takes a LONG time!

Or find a nice warlock like me who is empathetic to lowbie hordies who got screwed over by Blizzard yet again.

Bah! Just treat it like an adventure.

thanks for all the great reply's.

I made it to a lot of FP's with a lower level character by swimming the ocean.

Raventusk and Shadowprey are two places. Even a level 1 Orc can make it to Ratchet for their 1st FP.

Those FP's come in handy later in the game when you need a specific recipe or book.
