So Long, Global /4...Follow

Yikes thats still around? Turned it off about 2 months after it came out, never turned it on again. I had forgotten about it lol.

I should feel happy that it is leaving but like I said, er, typed above.

While I'm kinda glad it's going, I do hope they have an optional World General channel, it gets lonely sometimes...

The LFG channel was entertaining, especially when doing something boring. The only time I turned it off was during raids because that was just a bit too much spam.

I'll miss having a global chat channel, I enjoyed it. It always amused me how the people who constantly complained about the chat cluttered the channel just as much as the chatters themselves.

Never quite understood why people who got so angry about the chatting didn't just move the channel to another window and hide it when they weren't actually looking for a group. I'm sure someone will claim that the chat impeded their ability to find and form groups, but I never had a problem.

So has there ever been a reason given for not having a global chat channel?

As was already mentioned, it's a nice break to the monotony of the game. It gives you something to do while grinding quests like collecting 700 Hillsbrad human skulls.

And yea there are a lot of cripple fights, but I've also learned a lot about the game during LFG "spam".
