**** If this has been discussed then apologies, in kinda of a rush at the moment ****

I have been experiencing issues with WoWReader for a little while now. My problem is that I need to keep clicking the WoWReader icon before the program will start. What happens is that I double click the icon, the Updater bar comes up, then it just turns off so I rinse and repeat. Usually it will take about4-5 times before the program actually appears. I am not mashing the keys repeatedly to make the program it is more I click icon, wait and after a minute or two I rinse repeat. Eventually the program will load and be ready.

This has only been occuring in the last month or so.

Any thoughts here?

I'm seeing the same symptoms. Have to hit it a few times before it finally runs. Since last weeks MS security patch though, it won't run at all. Looks like it's not cleaning up after itself when it exits.

Error log looks like this.

thornblade, on account of the patch, I would recommend making sure you have the latest version. Running the program itself should auto-download the newest version. (Although it sounds like this is how you use WoWreader already.)

It's a small but annoying thing, when are we going to get icons for our Belf and Drenai(or however you spell it) character profiles, come on guys, at this rate WotLK will be out.

It's a small thing I know but the other types of character have icons why not the new ones?

I am having an issue with uploading my two character profiles.

It seems since some of the newer patches during the past couple of weeks is when it stopped functioning.

My main character is missing half of his items on the profile here. All of the items are pre-Burning Crusades, for sure.

My second character has never shown up on the website here.

>>Verify the Wr UI Addon is loading within the game

I go into the game and /wver is not a recognized command. I go into Addons [for all characters] and the only things disabled are Autobar and a TitanPanel subsidiary.

It looks like there is no addon for the game installed, how can I fix this?

I'm having this same problem. I read like two pages after this post and found nothing, did anyone ever answer??
No, no one ever answered...
I have Vista, too, but even when I manually upload it doesn't work! And it doesn't show WoWreader in my addon list. How do I solve this??

First thing to do is start up wowreader, go to the file menu, and pick location, then make sure it's pointing to the right place where your copy of wow is installed.

Does wowreader show anything in Old/Waiting/Uploaded statistics, or are they all 0?

If it's not seeing anything, try running wowreader as administrator. To do this, instead of starting it normally, right click on it's shortcut icon and there should be an option to run as administrator in the menu.

Post again afterwards and let me know if any of this helped or not.

WoWReader isn't working for me for some reason. I can install it with no problems. When I run it for the first time, it patches properly. I put in my allakhazam user information in the login. I can select the location where WoW is installed without any problems.

However, when I run WoW, I don't see the Wr UI Addon in my AddOn's screen. I leave WoWReader running in the background and start WoW by clicking the "W" button and after I login in with a character and then logout, nothing changes on the WoWReader interface. I click on the Refresh button and it still says 0 profiles waiting.

What am I doing wrong? I am running Vista SP1 if that's any help. I also installed WoWReader as an administrator.

I downloaded WoWReader yesterday, and while it appears to be updating quests and items and such, it hasn't updated my profiles at all. Using the /wver command in-game is successful and reports that WowReader v1.3 is loaded.

I'm running Vista. Any thoughts?
