OT, but I felt like giving a warning to the newcomers. I don't know what kind of discussion took place here because someone deleted all the posts (wink), but you should NOT post in the Asylum unless you are already known and liked there, or if you enjoy being sub-default for the remaining days of your Allakhazam career.

There is an "Out of Topic" forum. I suggest using that one first.

Any way for Mac users to do this? Should it just be the standard workaround (manual upload) or is there a different upload for the new Beta data?

Think back to the announcement about zam.com and you'll know what happened... that kind of stuff does belong in the asylum imo.

Anyways, more on topic

RPZip, maybe there is a link at the manual upload thing for beta/test? Like how if you search there is a link for each, and in the items you can toggle between the two? However, I thought that the manual upload was for just the char data, since some people were having trouble logging in, and of course the whole mac thing. Of course, I only have a PC so...

I am not sure what the status of a mac version of wowreader is. I know Rale was working on it at one point. With the beta coming out soon, our priorities are all in making sure we have everything updated for the new changes.

I have a question...

How come the old version of WoWReader works on TBC Beta, but not on the live game?

In any case, ran it again, because i picked up a few nice greens and want them to start showing up here.

Mike, did you redirect to the correct .exe? If so, let me know so I can tell Rale, Thanks.

When I try to upload, I get an error stating something very close to: Cannot connect because "the connection was actively refused". The WowReader support thread is locked. One of the old locked threads has this question posted, but there's no response. I emailed Rale and have yet to receive a response. I've got data I'd like to upload, but....

Try restarting wowreader (incase it needs to patch), otherwise that error means that the server on our side is temporarily refusing connections. Wait a bit and try again.

So my question is... did we not have to get a new version of WR for the 2.0 patch? I probably overlooked the answer to this somewhere already...

If you've restarted wowreader since the 2.01 patch, wowreader will have updated itself for the patch.

hmmmm. I just ran it, it patched fine - switched back to live WoW and uploaded.

BUT... after I uploaded, it still said 3 profiles waiting and none of the numbers changed on the stuff to be uploaded. They all went to their proper zeros when I clicked on "Refresh".

In looking at my stuff in a beta search, I noticed that you've dropped the "...of the" designations on items. Is this a change, or an oversight? Of the items I have, 5 are "of the" varieties.

Starfire Vest (of the Invoker) +21 INT, +24 Spell Damage, +21 Spell Crit rating
FireHeart Girdle (of the Sorcerer) +22 STA, +15 INT, +17 Spell Damage
Tourmaline Loop (of the Sorcerer) +18 STA, +12 INT, +14 Spell Damage
Azurite Ring (of the Sorcerer) +16 STA, +11 INT, +12 Spell Damage
Combustion Dagger (of the Eagle) +17 STA, +11 INT
