priest or warlock?Follow

The above poster covered it all...priests are a little dull but it's a personal choice. Most of all ask yourself if you will be soloing or partying. Soloing goes good for a priest but they shine the best in a party, and locks can solo really well imo.

There was a video with a level 41 Mage soloing a level 60 Warrior and not getting touched once. I hate to tell you this, but Warriors kind of suck. Their suck-capability is the highest of all classes, perhaps even more so than a Druid.

I'd say go Warlock. They're pretty rigged, and they can actually hit harder than Mages AND DoT. The pets pretty much incorporate some sort of skill center with a technical physical-DoT of it's nature. As in, Felhunter is anti-caster, Voidwalker is anti-interrupt, and Succubus is crowd control with higher damage. Imp is for very specific occasions and builds, though arguably less effective then the aforementioned.

Depending on your build, one will be your primary choice. Switching off to different encounters is effective though.

Priests can support others; Warlocks support themselves.

I've got a 60 priest and I love it. I didn't think leveling him to 60 was dull at all. I was spec'd shadow and then when I hit 60 I changed to disc/holy. I loved being shadow too and I still really like healing in the raids now. My brother has a 60 warlock and can do insane damage. So I guess if you want to do crazy damage go warlock or if you want to mainly heal, which for some can suck, then roll a priest.
Also have a look at the new T5 armour for warlocks. It looks SO awesome.

Dude, about the tier 5 sets, that's like comparing a van to a ******* monstertruck !!!

About the subject, my main is a 43 lock now, still going hard at it, had an alt priest but I soon got bored of it, it works much more support-like and has a damn stupid amount of down-time, two points which i'm not specially thrilled about. Still think priest can be kind of cool thought and may pick it up again for BC.
