Well, for my part I can't wait to play a Blood Elf, but I don't like the fact that we will get Pally and the will get shaman, it was already fun and balanced already and it was interesting to be limited by the faction you were taking, but the again I know why it have been done. There always be people that will never be happy with what they got and always want more /shrug.

It is a great game, it won't ruin anything, I don't care if there are some people out there who say that pally will kill the use of shamans in raid but I won't see why, each have the strong point and their weakness.

Anyway, it all about the player that play them!! As long a you have fun with whatever you play it is what that really mater

I think the Pallys don't belong in the horde and Shamans don't belong in the alliance, for the sake of the lore and simply to be damn logical.
Picture the situation:
a- Kronus the great orc warlord, bloodthirsty and fearless, veteran of a thousand battles and proud bearer of the scars wich prove it, facing a fearsome opponent in a fight to death... (yeah, kill ! kill !)
b- then a wimpy-looking pale elf steps up "don't worry my friend, stand behind me, I shall protect you" (kinda paladinish dont'cha think ?)
Result should be:
c- Kronus uses mace to whack pale elf on the head, once the elf is inconscious he grabs the limp body by the ankles and swings it around and throws it against his former enemy, in the light-hearted hope that the bulky plate mail the elf should barely be able to move under will be heavy enough to do some nice damage and maybe stun the target. (yeah xD)

seriously, I'd think everyone in the horde but the taurens would beat the crap out of blood elves on sight (specially paladins), and the exception's because I imagine tauren's are very peaceful and self-medicate themselves with "special herbs and fungus" (of course, that's how they have their visions ^_^)

That's not true. It would look like: At his side standing proud, tall, pale looking elf. He doesn't seem to be interesting in fighting Aliance warriors in the front lines, instead hungry watching the spell casters who devastate his orcish allies. He fights his way through middle field, not caring much about the few scars, just briefly attending his wounds using his stolen powers of Light. When he finally reaches small group of mages he grins and whispers: "Gief moer mana."

You keep to forget they may have paladin skills and powers, but not the background. Blood Elves are not restless followers of the Light, they have murdered and stolen to gain more power, for them it doesn't matter if it's power of Light or Demonic energies. Only thing that matters to them is that they can use it to get what they want. Horde won't get "oh so holy" paladins, Horde gets power hungry Blood Knights.
---Which interestingly is reason why they shouldn't join Horde. How could Thrall allow such evil beings to join us?!

There's a nice insight Huhulak, only point being that pally powers are bent basically on healing, protecting and aiding others (support-******* if you would).

And about being evil, I'd say they went COMPLETELY SCHIZO when their sunwell was destroyed. I mean, first you try to uphold the honor of you race, then ally with a demonic highborn and your twisted underwater cousins, then start sabotaging ships for the fun of it and torturing light beings for healing powers. Also it could help explain the following:
1- Why does alliance reject them ? for using demonic powers ? yeah, I guess Warlocks are a completely different matter... of course if they are completely emotionally unstable psycho power-wielding ************** things make a bit of sense.

2- Why do you need to torture light beings for light power ? you already have priests ! they can freaking "commune" with the light and extract power from there ! I'd think its just for the hell of irrational sadism.

3- They are allying with troll's who hate their whole race to death since the beginning of time, with orcs who fought them in the second war, and undead who razed their beloved kingdom to the ground and made them the broken and mourning race they are now. It would've been easier to just ally with the freaking burning legion directly !
