ok i was wandering around for fun and i went into The Forlorn Cave in IF and saw two people with murlocs next to them:

Ransin Donner
Garel Redrock

and since they had a speech bubble appear when i hold it over them i though 'hmm ill see what they can give me'

and it says something about entering a secret code to recieve a murloc pet.

does anyone know what code this is? and where i can get it from? as i had no idea that you could get a murloc pet and i want one now.

Thanks for your time

It's realated to a special Blizzard event but I don't know how to obtain this code. I mean I don't know when/where the event is.
Try some research on google. I guess you could find what you need.

There was a card given away at Blizcon 05. There were only 8000 of them, and they aren't cheap to get.

I love non-combat pets. I bought two copies of the collector’s edition of the game just for the pets that came with it. But unless you happen to be very financially secure, I don’t understand why people would pay such large sums for a virtual non-combat pet.

And to be honest, this is one instance where I’m extremely disappointed in Blizzard. For those of us who have the collector’s edition of the game, we can choose one of three pets for EVERY character we create on that account.

Panda Cub

Mini Diablo

Zergling

But those who found both the time and the money to attend Blizzard's convention, something I couldn’t manage, can have the baby murlock on only ONE character. There’s no way I could choose which among my many characters to give this pet to. I find it stingy in the extreme on Blizzard’s part to restrict this pet to just one character. How would it have hurt them to give the pet to the account instead? They already have the system in place to do so.

I can't speak for them, but I would imagine they wanted the murloc to to be really rare, hardly seen in fact, so when you see it the whole "no way! a pet murloc!..sweet!" aspect of it is preserved for most people.

Anyway, is there a cooking recipe you can use the pet murloc in?

Well, now, with the Battle Pet update, all pets are accessible from any character, including those of the enemy allegiance.
