When a high level character (see: 70) bankrolls a lower character (usually level 19, 29, 39, 49, 59) with the best possible armor, weapons, trinkets and enchants to play in the battlegrounds. This lower level toon is a twink.

I'm just glad that you put PST as meaning "please send tell" since so many people think it's pssst, like a whisper.

Although, I hate PST. Guess it comes from my EQ days

PST - Please sent tell

Is this correct?? I thought Pst was like "pssssst, hey buddy" for whisper. sort of onomatopoeia like boom and bang. Hmmm.

Edit: I now read the post directly above mine. Apparently it is correct. But a strange coincidence I think...

Very strange. PST has always meant "Please send tell" from Everquest days. Well, I guess before that it meant Pacific Standard Time, which is also important to on-line gaming!

Good job, there.

On our server we called Ruins Of Ahn'Qiraj AQ20 and Temple Of Ahn'Qiraj AQ40. DM was both used for Dead Mines and Dire Maul.. very confusing. Funny there's no acronym for Uldaman and The Stockades.

I always thought that PWNED was spoken like 'pawned' as in "I made you my pawn", or "I just got money for your death!".

General:
Proc = when an effect activates (example: Chance-on-hit effects, Windfury, etc)

Coming from a computer science background I believed that PROC stood as an abbreviation for procedure, a small piece of computer code one could repeatedly call at several points in a program to perform a specified task. Instead of writing down the same instructions down over and over you just wrote one word; the name of the procedure.

Since then I learned that PROC actually means programmed random occurence. Describing the nature of that part of the game and not the implementation.

didn't read you whole list. Just scanned down it thinking to myself what is this another person making a list of what everyone knows. Was surprised I didn't see

LOL - laughing out loud.

I stopped at you definitions for WTS, WTB, WTT - ect. I always took them to mean Want to ______. Not willing to_______.

"Barkus is willing"

Who was supposed to relay this msg and to whome?

The reason this list was created was because (unlike smart? people like you) not everyone knows what the acronyms and shortforms mean. It's the reason that this thread was linked to in the FAQ - because "There are lots of acronyms used in the game. What do they all mean?" is asked frequently.

Thank you, samperor. I've heard the term PUG used for groups and such, but I never knew what it stood for.

Thanks for helping me avoid looking like another foolish 60. Lol.
