How to speak OrcishFollow

#1 Apr 11 2006 at 1:11 PM Rating: Decent
I just started to play WOW 2 days ago and love it already. The problem I am having is yesterday while playing my Orc rogue I was grouped with 2 other players. I don't how to do much yet but I am starting to get the hang of it. The one player I was grouped with told me to speak like the Horde in Orcish. I replied back "whats that" and never got a answer back from him. Since I'm new at this can someone help me with talking Orcish? Is there a webpage that may help me do this? The way I am talking here in the forum is the way that I was speaking in the game. PLEASE HELP A NOOB!

I don't know what those other players were telling you, but the language feature isn't really used within WoW right now. Its all passive.

It just means you can't talk to alliance. No one can on horde side .. so no worries..

Thanks for your fast reply. I was just concerned after he said that to me. Thanks again

Let me say this, you are not a n00b the guy talking to you was a n00b, see Orcs can only speak in Orcish.
Same with Humans let me make this chart.

Horde.
Orcs- Orcish, default language of the Horde.
Trolls- Orcish and Troll, only Trolls can hear speak Trolls.
Tauren- Orcish and Taurahe, only Tauren can seak hear taurahe.
Undead- Orcish and Gutterspeak, Only Undead can speak and hear.
Blood Elfs. Orcish and whatever else language they have, Only blood Elves can hear it.

Alliance.
Humans- Common, Default language of the Alliance.
Dwarves- Common and Dwarven. Only Dwarves can hear it. You get the pattern?
Night Elfs- Whatever there language is called, Kaledori or something.
Gnomes- Gnomish.
New race? I dont know...

There you go. See you are not the noob, that guy was.
In fact your a newbie, I will not delve into the differnce.
Have fun...
Go ask in the Rogue Forum for help if you need Rogue help.
Alright? Have fun in WoW.

Yeah I wish Orcs and Humans got their own special languages, I had a troll run up to me the other day and wouldn't stop speaking in troll, it was really annoying I gotta say.

Draenor, yeah even though that is accsesible through Outland. Its highly unlikely that the Fel Orcs will even interact with the Deneziens of Azeroth, let alone talk to them.

The Blood Elves are speaking Thalassian. I read this in WoW THe Roleplaying Game, Page 37, so if you wanna proof, look there.

I have my Rogue on the Cenarion Circle Server. So does that matter. I will go to Orcish Planet and check out that web site. I want to thank everyone for the Replies. If anyone has a opening in their guild for a lvl 6 Orc Rogue give me a whisper when I'm online with Malib. :) I might catch on to playing if I had a guild to help me out some.

I do not think he was telling you to speak orcish, but rather telling you to act like one. As in Roleplaying (RP)

Check the server your in and check if your in a RP server
