shard bags are cool... but yeah, second to the idea of stackable shards... that would be better IMO. Even if it's 5 per stack...

5 x 10-slot bag = 50 shards.

Heh, so tonight will be the last chance I get to play with my paladin old style. (if I get online ofcourse, lots of new players apparently, been a couple of days [:sad:])

Aah well, even if I don't like the changes much, I'll still have my rogue to play with. Lots of fun too.

Actually guys, this is new.

Look at both sides. There's the original and the updated (as of today) patch notes.

Looks like they (Bliz) took some concerns/questions with the multi-BG queue and did some nice stuff with it.

I like the added thing to the /afk-er leaving a BG, can't get into another one for 15 mins.

I am VERY disappointed with the pet nerf. Do you know what it's like trying to tame a level 60 bat with 1.0 attack speed that you have no hope of escaping if it goes bad? It's not like you find them all by their lonesome. I was in so many ZG groups that broke up before doing the bats; and when I did get a chance, I died so many times taming that bat. Toss in the fact that it is MUCH more likely to run away than other pets. It GODDAMNED better be a boatload better than your normal pet. But now - It's not. No pet will even be able to keep up with me when Im mounted. Normal characters - not even epic mounts will leave my pet in the dust. And if they're going to make everything dependant on training points - how about giving us more training points to work with.

Rrrrgg. Just what hunters needed - a nerf.

To clarify my post - I am pleased with just about everything in the 1.9 patch, but if you bust hump to tame a mob in an instance - it SHOULD be something special. It was kind of like a blue drop in ZG or BRS for hunters willing to try for it.

I depend on my pet to chase down and mess with fleeing enemies so I can close to bow range. Now that's gone, and I have no way to close the gap. Don't talk to me about Aspect of Cheatah; you get dazed for 3 sec if you take damage, even from a nearby AoE or DoT - not a good thing.

I don't really like the idea of this.... I don't want to fear losing half my WSG team just because the AB que came up. They are trying to stop people from ditching games early with the 15 min penalty (which I think should be 30 min), but yet they do something like this.... What does everyone else think.

if iam not mistaken they made it so DoT didnt effect AotC not positive though i remember reading something that said damage that is given or time ( not exact wording) will not affect aspect fo the cheetah let me go check official release notes

Hunters
Arcane Shot - This spell can no longer trigger twice in one shot off of the Paladin's Judgement of Wisdom.
Aspect of the Pack and Aspect of the Cheetah - Periodic damage will no longer trigger the Dazed effect.
Aspect of the Wild - Radius increased. Tooltip updated to display radius.
Improved Concussive Shot - The stun effect's duration no longer diminishes or is diminished by controlled stun abilities and spells (e.g. Cheap Shot, Hammer of Justice, Charge etc.).
Tame Beast - The hunter will now turn to face the target during the taming process.
Bestial Wrath - Damage bonus reduced, duration increased.
Unleashed Fury - Damage bonus increased.
Pet Changes
Turtles can now eat raw and cooked fish.
Turtles can now learn Shell Shield, allowing them to reduces all damage taken by 50% for 10 sec.
Hunters can now tame Sons of Hakkar. Sons of Hakkar are in the Wind Serpent family and will know Lightning Breath (Rank 6).
Boars can now learn Charge, an ability that allows them to charge to an enemy, immobilize that enemy for 1 second, and add a large amount of Attack Power to the boar's next attack.
Gorillas can now learn Thunderstomp, an ability that causes high threat area Nature damage.

Death Coil/fear thing? Are you referring to the fact that the Horror effect from Death Coil, which lasts for a few seconds and has a decent cooldown, cannot be countered by the tons of trinkets and abilities that negate Fear?

Warlocks have one defensive ability that you can't counter. Everybody and his brother has some way to negate fear, why shouldn't a lock still be able to defend themselves?

I'm not. I agree that there shouldn't be a pet that is considered "the best" due to its stats, like Broken Tooth is. Why are Broken Tooth and the ZG bat considered so good? Because they're the only two pets with 1.0 attack speed. If there were more pets with 1.0, it wouldn't be nearly an issue. If they made it so that no pets had 1.0 attack speed, it also wouldn't be an issue.

The ZG bat and AV Frostwolf were the only two pets capable of outrunning epic mounts. The correct fix for this is "no pets able to outrun epic mounts." Unfortunately, Blizz took it too far and decided "no pets able to outrun players with any form of speed enhancement."

If it gets to the point where taming a pet is only about looks, why not just buy skins from your hunter trainer? Why even bother taming a pet? You could just pick your pet at the trainer and they hand you one. That would fit what you want, right? Even the newbies getting their first pets can be different -- they're not constricted by the available pet skins at their level!

Going out to tame a pet and getting one exactly the same as every other pet is a waste of time. There should not be pets that are so far above the rest you have to get them... but they certainly do not need to become blank slates.

I'm still up in the air about the hunter pet speeds.

However, I am happy with the changes to the Auction House. No longer will my troll lady be forced to wade through lag in Orgrimmar. Today she packed up her stuff to move to Thunderbluff, so she could live in a painted tepee and smoke those huge peace pipes that you see laying around everywhere!

Plus everything in Thunderbluff is much closer than in Orgrimmar. My hunter doesn't have to run to the other end of the city to stable her pet after using the bank or Auction House.
