Somewhat funny given the OP's name is HighElfCleric, when at least 2/3 of all clerics were HIE. I was going to post the warcraftrealms link, since that gives the real answer, but that's already been done.

Edit - holy necro batman!

High Elves and Erudites suck. Tier'Dal is where it's at.

Grats on your gimped mana pool :)

On the other hand, I think we can agree that tanks have to be ogres for the higher starting stam and frontal stun immunity!

Orges make fine MTs.

But your comments are so 2001. Even by the time I quit (2005) I had all useful stats ~50-100 over cap. Starting stats are meaningless.. and most of the racials are too. Play what you like.

Everyone knows the most popular class is Jedi.

I know, just foolin' around in the necro topic.

This game sucks now that they made Jedi ezmode. Being a Jedi used to mean something! All my hard work went down the drain...

Holy necro post batman! Google led you to a thread 2 years old? Sheesh

That’s funny. I read through the entire thing and I never notice. I almost never look at post dates, so that doesn’t surprise me. What I find amusing is that it’s as valid today as it was then. I guess some things never change.

I recently read a necro post on a different board talking about changes being made to rested experience. I was getting really worried until I noticed the thread was created while WoW was still in beta. *sigh*

I don't get it, who necro'd this one again?

The warning shows under KaneKitty, who appears to be a Hello Kitty Online stray with an unjustified hatred towards us, but Majivo posted before that and apparently referred a poster that isn't displayed here.

Did someone get banned/nuked while I wasn't looking, or did the timestamp thing just mess up?

Someone got nuked, then I guess the thread was sunk back to its original position while KaneKitty already had the reply window open, then their reply brought it back up again.

For dps I'd say druid or shaman if you want to be a bit different. I don't see a lot of them on my server.
For tanking I'd say warrior. There are far more Paladin and DK tanks around that I've seen.
For healing, maybe Shaman as well.

Cool thing is, Shaman = heals OR dps, Druid = DPS or heals (they can tank too, but not as well as other classes atm), War and can tank and dps quite well.

Server pops may vary though. Some servers may have a lot of said classes.

My love for Bodhi knows no bounds after this thread.

It was a completely pointless, asinine question, asked by someone with no connection to the board. As such, I felt no real need to grant it a proper response.

You could still break the filter without it being visible like that back then.

Paladin.

You can get this info right off of the website wow census (Google it) -

Class - Why it's popular (IMO)

Paly - Does everything, easy to play, traditional RPG class, OP in Wrath
Hunter - Easy to play
Druid - Does everything
DK - OP in Wrath
War - Traditional RPG class
Mage - Traditional RPG class
Priest - Most healer centric class (2/3 specs = heals)
Shamy - Used to be highly unpopular.
Rogue - No idea
Lock - No idea

I'm not claiming this to be 100% perfect, but that's how they list them.

You have disturbed me from my slumber. I shall now haunt the game that is World of Warcraft.

#75 Apr 22 2011 at 11:38 PM Rating: Decent
DPS obviously, with healers as second and tanks in a distant third, based off of random group queue times at least.
#76 Apr 24 2011 at 8:59 PM Rating: Decent
Paladins of course
