1. Yes, your servers will be down until 2pm Eastern (May be earlier depending on when they start). This will happen EVERY Tuesday! (5AM-11AM PST)

2. Yes, continue to post questions/comments (except about FFXI vs WoW).

3. No, even if you're able to log-in you won't be able to play, unless they happen to bring them online earlier than anticipated.

4. No, Do not whine about your servers. <--- Important

5. Yes, maintenance time is an estimate at best. If your servers do not come up at the scheduled time, refer to #4.

6. Yes, the Official WoW Forums (O-boards) will be down during the course of maintenance as well (submitted by:mohenjodari the Mighty)

I posted this on another thread, but this one seems like a better spot:

This maintenance may actually have more to it than a normal tuesday, as apparently there is a major exploit happening in game. You can read the player base investigation of the exploit here:

There are lots of worries about a server rollback (of 3 or more days) on the Wow official general forums. So, just hope all this is is a maintenance and fix to the exploit, and not more.

I got into a funny little discussion last night in General with some guy who thinks (honestly) that Blizzard should move the weekly maintenance day, because it's his day off.

I'm...serious. I was speechless after he said that, because I couldn't believe something that stupid left a human's mouth.

Question:

It allows me to log in, then made me choose a realm, but my character is not there? Will everything go back to normal when they are back up?
