NPC/Creep PicturesFollow

NPC/Creep Pictures. I've noticed that there are some already. But I'm a prefectionist. And the pictures takin aren't all that great. They are sometimes really dark, They have the name of the NPC over their head and green circle around their feet, and I also see the playing character standing next to the NPC/Creep. I've posted some pictures I've taken in Auberdine to the corresponding entries. This is what I'm looking for in a picture: (NPC |Creep).
Here's what I'm not looking for: (NPC |Creep)
Notice in mine, there is no sign of interface or player. And it's takin at an angle that gives a good idea of what It looks like. Here are the steps needed to get a good picture.

  • Do not Select the NPC
  • Go into 1st person view to make sure you are not in the Pic
  • Cropped snug around thier body
  • Contrast increased if Dark

  • I can't get all the mobs on my own. So I need you guys to help me. If we finish this, this site would kick so much ***.

P.S. Please don't argue with any of this. I'm looking for people to help me do it all.

Personally I don't have any problems with the pictures posted here. I think they're just fine.

And I'm trying really hard to be a nice guy... but it's so hard....must resist urge to tell OP where to... resisting.. resisting...

edit: I actually prefer to have the name in the picture so if I print it out, I don't have to print out everything, just the picture and I'll know who/what it is.

    I know, rate down coming...

    BUT!!!!

A true PERFECTIONIST would have looked up the word PERFECTIONIST and spelled it correctly.

Sorry, but for someone to be ******** about other peoples pics, and then have poor spelling in their post...

You know, glass houses and all...

I actually like the name of the mob over the head. In fact, I think one day society will advance to the point where all our names will float above our head for easy access. No more forgetting people's names, no more uncomfortable situations.

But, if that ever happened, we'd have to turn our names off before you took pictures of us, wouldn't we? WOULDN'T WE?!

Edit: spelling errors, can't have that.

It's pretty standard to get the NPC's name in the picture. On the FFXI website, Pikko and her admins select pictures that specifically have the NPC's name above it's head.

Please tell me you found that pic somewhere. That is a VERY sloppy PSD edit.

    It almost hurts my eyes.

The character looks good (love the outfit)... but whats up with the background? A good pic of your character would just be from the character selection screen... which apparently you used. But I don't get what happened after that.

What did you do to the background? **lol**

Sometimes the only way to get the mob/npc in a good light is to target them. You know when you target something it lights up, so that would make the target lighter and not so dark.

When the name is on the image, it sure makes figuring out what page it goes on a lot easier when someone sends in WoWScrnShot_0013005_01129230.jpg and nothing else. Believe me, we get a lot like that.

We also encourage players to put their name or guild on the images as a form of PR or prestige, however you want to think of it, so having the other name isn't that big of a deal.

But of course we will take any pic you submit and if it's a good one, we will post it up!

Thanks for trying to make the site a better place to live.

Well I kind of lost interest in the whole plan. Mostly because I got such a bad response from people. Although if eventually send another one, I'll try to make it easier for you guys.

You can light up a player or NPC by mousing over them.
The cursor should not appear when you take the screenshot.

Here's a tip for you creep capturer: reroll Priest. The Mind Vision spell places the camera on the targeted mob. So you can see it as if it were your character (the camera can be placed at a third-person point of view).
