The first Blizzard game I played was Warcraft:Orcs Vs. Humans on a friends computer a few years before I owned one myself. She ended up selling me that computer, and giving me that game for nothing. The first Blizzard game I bought was Diablo, not because it was Blizzard (I had no idea actually) but because I'm a big d&d fan, and it looked fun. Warcraft 2 was next, wich is the point saw the connection in the Blizzard games. Starcraft quickly followed, as did a host of other RTS games from other companies. Always, in the end, it was Blizzard that I came back to, comparing every RTS or action/level/loot game with Warcraft and Diablo. Diablo 2 was my first online game, though I didn't start until maybe a year after it had been released. I disovered the hidden side (to me) of Blizzard, and i honestly felt part of a community (no matter how insane or immature some may have seemed). Blizzard has always tried to put it's fan base first, not giving us what we always wanted, but searching for a meeting of what was needed and what was fun. World of Warcraft is the culmination of the focused efforts of a truly wonderful company. They have given us a game that honors the worlds they have given us, one that can involve it's community like never before. A game that, by all acounts, is great outside of that fanbase, one that i personally consider the best game I have ever played. So, in the end, I just wanna say thanks to a group of people that actually care, that actually try to know their fans, and give us a home we can all enjoy. If you would, just post a quick thanks to Blizzard, because their own forums are down, and maybe they'll get their hands on it somehow. For a company that has been bitten quite a bit in their quest to please us, the ever wanting gaming community, this is a little thing just to show them that we appreciate it.
Thanks Blizzard : D
