Euro Players blocked? (true/false)Follow

#1 Nov 22 2004 at 8:01 AM Rating: Decent
Hey guys,

i just came across something on a website suggesting that european players importing the game from the states are going to be blocked from playing.. is this correct?

I imported FFXI about 8 months before UK release and just filled in the registration section with an american address and i was good to go.

Do anyone have any further information on this? i'd love to play the game, but if im faced with buying EQ2 now, or waiting until february to play WoW (which i wanna play) i might just go with EQ2 :/

Any help is appreciated.. thankyou!

You will need an American (and what ever other countries are in the release, I think Canada and NZ) adress and a medothod of payment accepted in the US, to make an account and play.

thanks for the reply.

when i started FFXI i used a falsified address, and used a mastercard, i asume i can do both of these things again? ;)

hopefully you can see where im comin from... i dont want to buy the game, wait a week for it to arrive and it actively block me from playing it :)

Thanks

I'm actually sending 2 copies to my buddy in the UK from the US. So he needs to put in a fake US address?

My post explains it all:

You could've saved yourself the hassle of posting by reading some post titles. Kinda useless to keep asking an answered question.

No flame intended. But if everyone on these forums would post a same question over and over it would kinda be a major mess in here.
