From what I gather, rogues and hunters use agi for 50% of their damage, str for the other %50.
Does that mean str applies to guns when used as a hunter to determine damage?

All ranged damage is pure agility.
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.

Attack power is determined by Str for melee and agility for ranged.That being said hunters get a bump to melee power based on agility.This isn't true for rogues where agility is used as a factor in getting more criticals.

Hunter & Rogue: Increases your attack power with melee weapons.
It is the *melee* attack that is split 50/50.
