how do u kill a mob 500+ lvlFollow

As i understood by looking at the forum, its hard to kill a mob 4 lvls above yours ... i suspect that with great skill, nice potions and equipment one might kill a mob 10 lvls above his/hers

so when i saw that some mobs are 500+ lvl i thought WOW... i wonder how can one kill such as those ... can they be soloed ... if not, how many people are needed to kill one

i saw in thottbot.com the loot from such monsters ...
and a dagger i plan to have resides in one of them

I doubt anyone has been able to kill any of these... how does Thotbot have drops for lvl 500+ mobs?

i played the open beta ... and i know that ten lvl 1 characters cant kill one lvl 10 ... same goes for upper lvls

judging by that i think that this lvl 500+ mob will resist, dodge,parry, block etc. everything u do to him ...

LOL, on the last day of open beta, I decided I was tired of running like a coward from the Massive Infernals. I attacked 1 with my level 20 warrior....shot it, nothing. Got one swipe at it, nothing. It hit me once for 1500+ damage, I died. I would Imagine that attacking a level 500+ monster would be much the same.

If we're on the same server, you're going to have to give me a /tell so I can come with you. ;)

If we're not on the same server, just take pics and post them! It won't be the same as the experience, but it'll still be good for a laugh. Make sure that you do it on a level 1 naked mage for the max damage result. =)

I dont think the guy those rogues killed was lvl 500... Thottbot might just have a typo

yeah ... u got a point there ...
but i think it looses the skull mark on the lvls after it dies
and shows the true lvls

never saw a such strong mob...where did u see it? i'm gonna check it out

this was not my experiance. i was a troll in the open beta and Vol'jin (leader of the darkspear tribe) was level ??. where as i saw Thrall's level. does this mean that Vol'jin is stronger?

The 500 lvl mobs aren't really lvl 500. I've seen this discussed on the official boards and blizzard has said that those are just placeholder lvls. They are actually more like the equivalent of a lvl 80 mob. Though Illidan has already been said to be the strongest NPC in the game, which we'll have to wait to see, since he'll probalby be a raid mob in the maelstrom once we open it.

Sorry to prove some of your theorys wrong and all, but what ends up happening is if a guy sees a monster with a skull on lvl, and knowone has seen it before, and tells either thott or allakhazam about it,they mark it as a 500+, just because there not wrong in the sense that there off, and they know it. Its a way to label them a lvl, like if u check thott for some lvl 62+ and 61+ monsters in blackrock spire, there is a lvl 500+ for them, thats because the first guy that saw it saw a skull for the name, told it to thott or alla, and they makred it as 500+, just so ppl know there is a guy thats named that in that specific area, and now a higher lvl guy will go to it and c what its real lvl is.
