Okay, just to get this over with.

Yes, I am a girl.

Yes, I play video games. I have played every blizzard game, every sims game, ffxi, eq for like 2 minutes, and a whole host of others.

I also like cars, I like to fix them, buy them, restore them, race them, and stare at them. Nothing makes me quite as happy as hearing a 383 start up for the first time that I put in myself. I like DOMESTIC cars, not Imports.

No, I will not give my email address.

Sure you can have my picture: http://www.camarogirl.com/NM/Cryz.jpg

Met my wife in EQ. Three years and one child later we're now moving to WoW. They're out there, just not exactly easy to find. All I can say is that I got lucky and actually found mine without having to leave the house. LoIO is the place to be for single, hehe.

Most girl gamers learn very early in their gaming to not admit they are girls. Any answer to the question "RUF/M?" will have repercussions. If you say you are male, then you get into this strange situation where the person then asks "Y U PLY A CHICK?" or other garbage. If you say you are female, then people want your E-mail, picture or just add you to their friends list and hound you to the end of the earth. So the smart female refuses to answer all questions of gender till they know who they are gaming with.

It isn't that I don't admit it, I just don't run around telling everyone. So it sort of is assumed I'm a guy, until I let something slip that I'm not. And, normally, it doesn't make any difference.

And just to clarify: Yes I am female, and yes I play video games like there is no tomorrow. I have been my entire life. I also like way too many hobbies considered by many to be 'guy' hobbies, as well as some that aren't. No, I'm not going to post a picture. I don't do that (it seems like a pretentious thing to me and I just don't like that), in addition to the fact that I'm going to save you eye-gouging-out-with-a-rusty-metal-object-time.

I'm also only saying this because I'm assuming that grrlz=girls? o_O;

Oh, and the most popular race come retail is going to be, without a doubt, night elf. Just watch.

Meh, boy, girl, man or woman, what does it matter? As long as we kill Alliance scum together, it's all good! :D
#35 Nov 20 2004 at 12:33 PM Rating: Decent
yea true. Nightelf females are "hot" to a 10 year old. Humans are hotter to me =/ i guess i'm a boob and butt guy =/ I'll be playing a nightelf male becouse... welll

a) i'm a male and i can't stand playing a female character
b) My guild is alliance and Nightelf is the only alliance race i like
c) I wana be a druid becouse i love the story and i love the idea of protecting nature and guarding the world from the shadows.

Most girls don't openly announce they are girls unless they want somthing most of the time. In my girlfriends case when we met in game.. She wanted Me. lol now we will be living together soon.

I personally like to keep all girls as guys in my mind. It makes the gaming experance alittle easer to manage. I notced with gamer guys if they meet a gamer girl they all seem to wana flock to her. Not openly but they are really doing a really weird gaming mating ritual.

In FFXI 3 guys hung around this girl all the time. She was the moodyist @#$#$ i've ever seen tho. But gamer guys from an attachment. I know this becouse it almost happened to me till i realized how stupid it all was.

My girlfriend had to fight to get me to talk to her. She considers herself lucky to have me and i know i'm lucky to have her ^^

I've never met a girl that liked to play videogames. Ever. I know there are some girl gamers out there but at my age, which is 14, girls are usually into... other things.

No, 'grrlz' don't play games...

Just get it out of your head, don't think about it. If you strike up a conversation with someone thinking it's a girl, you're going to be disappointed, I guarantee.

"But vert! there are girls that posted in this thread!"
Yeah, but imho i don't think they want to be hounded by the hundreds of males that read this forum.

Give up, find girls someplace else. Maybe you'll get suprised sometime.

quite a few women (RL women I mean, not manginas) in my EQ guild - we have had some RL gatherings so I know for sure :) However sorry to break it to you but MOST of us got into it because our SO's introduced us to gaming. We have several RL married couples including me and my hubby

I don't hide it (after all I play with my husband 95% of the time) but I also don't go out of my way to make a deal about it, and I've had very few harassment type experiences in 5.5 years in EQ and DAOC.

Groovy, this thread turned out to be quite better than i thought it would be hehe, and no im not reading through all the forums looking for a woman to shack up with, i just thought it was a topic at the back of everyones mind not talked about much, at least from the exposure i have gotten. Thanks to the people that answered my second question about the most popular race or whatever it was. I wanna be a rouge and the abilites of the ne sound good but i wanted to be a gnome but my guild member wanted to be the only rogue gnome....*shrug*
#42 Nov 20 2004 at 5:15 PM Rating: Decent
My guess is that most women who play WoW will play night elves or undead, probably NE more. Too bad im on a never ending quest to slay all elves : P Oh and by the way, LEAST popular race=gnome, better anyway.
#43 Nov 20 2004 at 5:42 PM Rating: Decent
Hehe, maybe ill make my own guild of all gnomes, a lot of them rogues:) anyone interested?
#44 Nov 20 2004 at 5:43 PM Rating: Decent
I still say the human women are cuter =/ They have the bigger boobs and butt.. But yes.. i guess i like the more "real" women =/ not the super model look alike =/ anyone notice how much we nightelves are like romans?!

I have been searching for one my whole life man. I want a girl the knows that video games are more important than her, and that saving the earth from the Covenant or slaughtering the legions of hell requires too much time and energy for me to take her out on dates and stuff.

Well we all like the physical part but they just expect us to work for it, and I don't do work. Unless it's simulated work on video games ex. (farming goobues in Rolandberry for thier sweet sweet tree clippings).

Yeah normally women just never say that they're actually female. I don't mind saying I am on these forums, so it doesn't matter. Normally I just lie and say I'm a guy. My linkshell in FFXI was shocked when we all started talking on teamspeak and suddenly I had a female voice. I usually lied because at first I didn't mind saying I was female until I was never left alone...

Sometimes you can tell if someone's female by the way they talk-especially if they use 34895739857389 ^^ faces per sentence. I'm guilty of using those faces to myself, but the amount that I've seen other girls do it is fairly phenomonal.

As a rule, I don't give out personal information or pictures to people online. That would imply to the person that I'd want to pursue some sort of offline relationship, which really isn't true. I have enough real-life friends of my own. I only made one friend in FFXI who I now talk to on a regular basis otherwise, and that was after many months of playing together; and he was far from the "omg ur a chixor pic plz1!" kind.

1) had to make it to 50 hehe

2) yeah harassment sucks for girls/women online...i see why you would want to like/ keep it a secret. There are also probably a good amount of guys that like about what sex they are lol...i try not to worry about it too much but just posted a thread to see where they all were.
