Ok so this is the first beta I have ever played and second MMO to FFXI. I must first say that this game is the **** and Blizzard knows what they are doing (from what I have experienced so far). FFXI was a job and this is just straight up fun. I have had more fun this past week playing the beta then my entire year on Valefor.
Anyways to the point. It was the last day of beta and I had no insentive to do any quests. I had been playing Horde so I decide to create new charecters in the Alliance to see their cities. While on my female Human Mage I got her up to level 4 and decided to go check out Stormwind City. So I am running up to the gates and to my surprise I see Fellhounds, a Massive Infernal, Doomgaurds and a Dreadlord slaughtering all who pass. As I make my way through I encounter the resistance and we fight the Burning Legion. The best we did was kill a few Doomgaurds with the help of the LV 50 gaurds in the city, but other then that it was a slaughter. I spend the rest of the day taking pics of the invasion and it was a lot of fun. Grats to Blizz on an awesome game and awesome end to beta!!! Heres some pics:
This is me first entering the city. The gaurd fighting the Dreadlord is level 50 and gets smoked. The Dreadlord had a leech spell that stole energy from attackers.

That was definitely a great time. Sadly, my keyboard has "Insert/PrtScn/SysRq" all on one key, so I wasn't able to take any screenshots :( So, what I plan on doing from now on is using two keyboards, one for game, one for screenshots.
You should have been in Iron Forge on Test 2 during the final moments of Beta... there were something like 100 people crammed into the King's Throne Room fighting a Massive Infernal. It was great. Wish I could have gotten a screen of that.

Yeah there was chaos everywhere. I remember thoes things hitting me for like 2000HP a hit. I saw some screens of other monsters that were invading too. In Ironforge there was this Cerberus (don't know if it was cerberus but it had 2 heads) and it looked sooo cool.
FFXI take a hint!! People want cool monsters, not ******* crabs, crawlers and rabits!! Lol the FFXI equivelent to this would be a Oversized Crab invading San Doria or something bunk like that. I mean you say you have new mobs for the expansion, so I go look at them and they are red crabs!! wtf! Ok I'll stop bashing FFXI now.

What Blizz did was annoying my whole server it was pretty funny to me because I made it to the zepellin after trying at least 15times.
LoL in the last picture the little baby infernal is hiding between its momma's legs! LMAO

I head of people getting pissed too and I say Live a Little to them. I mean your charecter is getting deleted in two hours and you can't finish your quest cause there is a Dreadlord gaurding the entrance. Bah to you!! That invasion was the most fun I've had in an MMO next to PVP which I experienced for the first time in WoW.
Burning Legion Invasion = Blizzard's way of getting back at every little *****, whine and threat during the entire beta process. As the old saying goes, revenge is a dish served best cold :)

Funny that the only lag I ever experienced while playing was item lag, but that went away for me after the last patch. My friends however had crazy lag. Being on the same server and ISP there is only one explanation. My friends computer didn't have good enough hardware. 512MB of ram and a new 128MB video card later, no lag. PLease people don't complain about lag when you are half way across the world nd playing on a **** box. This game requires some serious memory!

lag could have been due to what servers you were on. For instance, Test 3 and Test 13 were lagging a lot more thanany others early in the beta.
THe invasion of the burning legion was across all servers, in all major cities. Dreadlords, doomguards,burning felhounds, and massive infernals invaded Stormwind, Ironforge and DArnassus (for alliance). In the smaller towns,like goldshire south of stormwind, minor infernals, and felhounds around lvl 30 invaded. There were also some npc trolls strutting around some of the zones. Most of the time i was in IF trying to organize a massive attempt on one of the dreadlords in the kings throne room. However, the king sat on is *** and didnt help us out so we were all getting pwned. I had more fun taking down the lvl 30 mobs with my lvl 29 rogue.
It was an awesome end to beta, but i was waiting for Jaina and all of the nasty good npcs to come save the day at the end. Never happened. Spent the last five minutes dancing in Stormwind with fireworks going on. Great game

I hear you Arexx. I mean in Stormwind there is this guy on a horse who is labled "General of the Defence" or something simmilar. This guy sat on his *** and did nothing as hundreds of people were slayed in front of him. He is soposed to be the hero of Stormwind City. He's a coward!

I played the WoW beta since April till mid-Oct on a Mac. PvP was a horrible experience due to the lag, etc. In the earlier days instances like RFD where almost impossible to play due to graphic lag.
I mentioned mid-Oct... that's when I bought a PC :( I dropped a $200 Radeon X700 Pro in that thing and BOOM, no lag, ever. The only lag I get now is server-side lag.
Sad but true, a good rig will make all the difference in the world.
