IDK about the rest of you out there, but I myself have been in a significant slump since WoW left my life for these 5 days.

Lately ive been just dabling in a few free demos here and there and trying to play on my PS2 which controller is now broken =(.

So, anyone else in the same slump and have you found a good game to fill the gap?(Mainly aiming at free games myself, since being poor sucks and WoW CE doesnt help).

I have GTE San Andreas, and Mortal Kombat Deception both sitting on my shelf gathering dust.

You are not alone, my friend. These games seems boring to me after playing WoW. I now just surf forums, and play the guitar a little more.

I was playing GTA when i broke my controller =(

EDIT:Controller is now up and running...Pushing on the cord to go back in worked for some odd reason.

Fable. I'll finish Fable in the next few days and hopefully that'll detract me from WoW.

Plus I've been meaning to see the Godfather...

I was going to play EQ2, but I got sick of grinding and asking everyone NPC in two if they had a quest. Now I guess I'll just have to wait it out or I could go buy an xbox game like Halo 2 or Half life 2.

Nah, don't waste your money Druid.

WoW will be out Tuesday, and you know that brand new game you just bought for $50 will be gathering dust soon after.

I'd say either get a book if you like to read, or search for some of those free game sites on the internet Vampire was talking about.

You'll just regret it if you go out and buy a brand new game at this point.

I think I'll wait like you said. I'm to lazy to go buy a game anyway heh. Maybe I can replay one of my many old games.

I feel the same way. Even when it comes out for retail, there's a 75% chance that I won't be able to play it then.
Ahh, the game's really good. But to keep the time off (a little) I've been playing a great game called Tales of Symphonia.

There's also a nice little online game at Kingdomofloathing.com that's tons of fun ..and it's funny. You guys should check it out.

I'm playing the expansion for Gothic II, Die Nacht des Raben "the night of the raven." It's pretty cool so far....if you import from Germany, there is a mod to translate the subtitles to English.

BTW, First Post!

I picked up a copy of Civ 3 out of the bargain bin. Kind of funny that I never owned this game, considering how much I played the first one.

WC3 is also on my hard drive as an option. There's also always *gasp* doing something other than a video game. These are the few days we'll all be able to enjoy the other things in life before WoW comes back and takes over again.

I’ve been mapping out the 12 characters I’ll be creating on my two accounts spawning both the alliance and hoard. Okay, so I’m just a little bit addicted to this game. *grins* And as soon as I get off this board I’m going to head out and buy what I need to set up my computer corner so I’ll have room for two PCs. That should keep me busy until I can log into WoW again.

I've been in a great slump these last couple of days also.

I managed to actually goto some classes on Friday, and I've even started writing a 10 page paper that is due on Monday before the night before!

But for now I'm surfing the web for any and all material related to WoW because I just cannot get it out of my mind!

What? I'm sorry, I don't think I understand. Video game? Something else? I think there's a hole in your logic somewhere

WOW has haunted my dreams and most of my waking moments since the OB ended.

As of November I quite my job to leave more time for...you know. I worked several jobs for 6 months prior to release in order to have rent and food money to last me for quite some time. Come tuesday i'll be sculking around my local futureshop at 9am when it opens to pickup my copy. In the meanwhile I have been filling the void in my life with some Frozen throne, Doom3 and working out. God help me when this game is released.

P.S. Not a total bum yet, still one part time job on the side.

Yeah, I have been in that same slump. Things I have done...

- Cancelled both EQ accounts. I have them until the 29th. Have not even logged in since WoW open beta.

- Logged into EQ to play a bit this weekend...kind of a last hurrah. After all, I played for 5 + years.

- Logged out of EQ after about 30 minutes. *yawn*

- Re-installed Warcraft III. Played it for a while.

- Played Unreal Tournament 2004 for a while.

- Played Halo 2 on Co-op mode with my son (but I am dismal with cosole game controllers...really bad. Give me Call of Duty online and a mouse and I can hang with the best of them...but hand me an x-box controller for a shooter and I suck big time)

- Logged back into EQ to hand all of my gear off of my characters to some guildies. Even that process bored me...but most of my old EQ friends have been gone for a while now.

The 23rd can hurry up and get here now.

I've slept nearly half of this weekend away, and the rest was spent unlocking every character in Oni Musha Blade Warriors.

Now back to sleep......
