Read the bad news - Beta closing next 24 hours :=(. But here is the question. Do we have to buy the CDs - or will Open Beta players be able to convert online to a Pay-to-Play account using a secure site?
Two: if so- can that(opening account) be done before launch date to decrease congestion?

1) You buy the US 50 game or the US 80 collector's edition like everyone else.

You need to purchase the game to get a proper CD-Key for the game. Right now all the open beta ones have the same key. Without unique keys, there's no way for them to properly track the games being sold and used.
Plus, if you were able to use the open beta program for the real game, that would open it up to a world of piracy. Why have your friend buy the game when you can give him the installer for free?
