I just wanted to know if the first month is free like a lot of other MMORPGs. I tried looking at the faqs for this, but couldn't find an answer.

thanks

I don't see why...what do you REALLY get for your money? Some art samples, a map, a crappy zergling pet?

A fool and his money, I suppose...I never got people who "collect" things.

Its just simply a cool thing to have. Who doesn't like having a cloth map of the world in which so many of us spend a lot of our time in? who doesn't want to know what went on behind the scenes? Who doesnt want an artbook? Not to mention that the pets you can get are a nice addition, I don't think there are many who can say they don't want a mini diablo.

im ganna have to go with vampy_knight the CE does look pritty cool and i cant wait to see a bunch of zerglings and mini-diblos running around..also i think the if you create a nome you should be able to ride the panda bear lol that would look so funny. but ya the CE looks great

No, everyone who purchases the game gets one month free for that account...the CE edition ALSO has a 10 trial for you to give to a friend. So, a second accoun that gets 10 days free.

Look what I found on the main WoW website:

http://www.blizzard.com/press/040411-street-date.shtml

Interesting enough, it was under the big button that read: "WoW in stores 11/23/04"

"After the initial free one-month subscription ends, players of World of Warcraft will be able to continue playing under one of three different subscription plans. The month-to-month subscription plan costs $14.99 per month, the three-month plan costs $13.99 per month, and the six-month plan costs $12.99 per month. World of Warcraft subscription fees can be paid by major credit card, PayPal, and pre-paid game cards, which will be available in stores where World of Warcraft is sold. World of Warcraft has received a Teen rating from the ESRB."

Sorry for the attitude, but there's been alot of questions that can be answered by just reading WoW's official website.

With respect, if you're going to use up 9 lines of my screen with your sig, then I'm not going to be as sympathetic to pleas of wasting peoples time in the forums.

Yes there was some confusion above about the Collectors Edition (CE) but I think it's ok for people to ask questions in this forum, and not everyone goes to Blizzard.com or worldofwarcraft.com (when it works) every other day to check if there is anything new on the site.

I understand some frustration when people ask questions you already know the answer to, but that's why they ask, and as someone who's posted 9999 times in the forum then I can't believe you mind them posting to ask a question.

Hmm, is that a dig about long siggys? *looks down* But how will my old friend know how to find me again if I don't list them all?!

Seriously, topics are listed for a reason. If you see a topic, and know the content of said thread will do nothing but annoy and frustrate you, why even bother reading it?

Hmm... this is the most useless post I've ever made, so to add to the discussion: I will definitely be picking up the collector's edition. The artbook and map will be worth the extra if they are even reasonably well done, which I expect them to be. Besides, what good Warloc doesn't want a mini diablo or tiny zergling with them?! Now I just need to decide who gets what...

umm, theres a difference to using minimal space to express yourself in your sig than making a topic which is easily answered by going to the site.

Yes, people don't go to the official site every other day to see if anythings new, but they should if theyre going to post something that might be answered there.

There are hard to find answeres, and then there are ones that are pointed out when you first enter the site.

With respect, it's only 8 lines. Smiley: grin

The main site exists for a reason, to answer basic questions people have.

Then you come here for more detailed analysis.
