Well, since the servers are down and I'm bored, I just wanna say that I attempted my very first instance!

This dungeon takes place in the city of Origgimar, where a tunnel leading to Ragefire Chasm is luring citizens in and corrupting them. This is the work of a Felguard inside that is building upon the Burning Blade's forces. I enter the dungeon as a lv 13 along with fellow horde to combat the menace.

While it didn't go exactly to plan (aka we all died), it was just fun how the entire thing is set up and how we all worked as a team to get pretty far before the cultist orcs decided to swarm us. Here's some pics, enjoy! :)

By the way, Alliance of Test 2, keep in mind that the attack on Ashenvale over night is only the beginning! For every NPC you kill of ours, we will kill 5x as much including those who interrupt us! I must say, though, that it was an awesome fight between the Horde and the Alliance at the outpost (horde winning hands down, of course.) I wish I screenied those pics. ;_; Btw, yes I'm in a PvE server and yes, you'd be surprised how much pvp goes on ;D.

On that note, just want to combine my other screenshot thread with this one ;P

Let me first start off by saying that Server 2 is a normal, everyday PvE server. Keep that in mind and watch this...

It all started as I just flown back to Crossroads after hours being stuck inside Ragefire Chasm. I noticed that in the general chat that something happened while I was instancing. Little did I know that the Alliance decided to pay us a visit, killing out NPCs and causing all hell to break loss. My Horde brethern managed to chase the remaining Alliance members up a tower as they try to protect their forced camp. This was a stand that lead them to their deaths.

Angered by the display of disrespect to our existance, we of the Horde organized and decided that it's time to strike back. After we set up ranks and created groups, we set our sights to Astranaar, a small Night Elf village in Ashenvale Forest. We matched forward to the Alliance town, excited and eager for battle. What a battle it was...

As we arrived to Astranaar, a small group of Night Elves manage to keep from being killed, using the guards as shields. We had other ways of making our presence felt, by sending rogues into town to kill low level NPCs. This is where the battle erupted for what seemed to be a neverending wave of Night Elves appeared. It was a long war, too long to remember how long. Both sides pushed back and forth, holding key points of the battlefield, then losing them. This kepted up till the Horde was overwhelmed. We fought on with valor but decided that it was a battle that we could not win. The Alliance had their wins and losses as did we but they certainly haven't heard the last of us...

War 1
War 2
War 3
War 4
War 5
War 6
War 7
War 8
War 9
War 10

Nice pics Red ^^,

I have a question though... How did you get in an instance? Are you in a guild or something like that? I'm level 15 now, as a NE Druid, and I've yet to do any instances, raids, or pvp in general. It all sounds like a lot of fun, but people on my server either just lag the General Channel with random chatter, or don't respond at all to me when I try and talk to them.

So what's the secret?

The cave, by the way, is located in the Cleft of Shadows in Origgimar. The instance itself is represented by a wind tunnel visual effect.

As for my secret, you'd be surprised that people actually want to party :O Just enter Origgimar and in general chat, ask if anybody wants to join a Ragefire Chasm party and people will line up for it, trust me!

Hmm, as a side note, this is a Horde exclusive instance so my best bet that instead of calling for a Ragefire party, try a Dead Mines party. Daedmines can be located in Westfall but I'm not to sure there. Ask for directions >.>

Guess I maybe just need to do some more exploring. I've never heard of either the Ragefire Chasm, or the Deadmines...so maybe I just need to get out more ~.^.

I've pretty much just stuck around the Darkshore area doing quests and stuff, I think tonight I'll go do some travelling.

Thanks Red.

One question, in your screenshots you have the two 'chat' windows (General and Combat?) side by side... how? ;-)

I always feel like I'm missing something by not having them both visable at the same time. I'm running in a respectable resolution so screen real estate shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks!

Deadmines I wouldn't recommend going to any lower then 17ish. The mobs for the most part are elites in the 17-19 lvl range, but have a tendency to swarm. So unless you have some good crowd control, or a talented puller I'd hold off for a couple more levels. On my server at least, deadmines partys tend to get refered to as Van Cleef (or VC) groups. Van Cleef is the name of the end boss, fyi ^^.

Nice pics. You aren't the lowest I've heard of trying to go through Ragefire; my group cleared the zone with a level 11 mage. Was pretty tricky, though, he never landed a spell on any boss and we wiped once. BUT, he did land a critical Polymorph on an add that would have wiped the party in another fight, so, as I said to him, "You're already more useful than roadkill."

Last night, on the other hand, we tried Shadowfang Keep with a level 16 priest along for the ride... well, let's just say we didn't finish. :p

The deadmines is in Westfall

I wouldn't recommend going in below 20 at least, My group had a 21 pally (me) 25 NE rogue, 24 dwarf warrior, 26 NE hunter, and a 24 priest...

We almost got wiped out in this one room with like 30 elite goblins x.x nott ffunnnn but we made it and got van cleef.. fwee chausses of westfall ^^ but yeah instances can be great. I got like 8k exp just for killing the monsters and like 2 gold in money and drops =D
