EDIT:What the heck was I thinking, SPOILERS, if you dont want to find out some of the backstory to the night elf quest, skip my entry.
Theres already a pretty good story in it...pay attention in what your doing with your quests.
Take night elf for instance. Theres one pretty large quest that takes you over all of teldrassil, and it tells the story of how and why teldrassil was created, why monsters are apearing, why shan'do stormrage isnt in darnassus, plus, nets you exp.
Then of course theres the quest for the barrow den in which gnarlpines have taken over. It starts off simple enough with you recieving news of the gnarlpines attack on starbreeze village, and then it takes you to the gnarlpine ridden barrow den in which you seek to wake the druids that lie there. during this quest you find a druid in the bottom of the den which has had his physical form taken hold by the gnarlpine to do evil. In order for you to set him free, you must first get an item off the shamans that have taken his body, then, regretebly enough, the only way you can free him is by killing his physical form. From here you collect the relics of wakening in the den which you then return to the quest giver(can't remember name now.) who brings grave news of the druids being held by ursal(the gnarlpine leader in gnarlpinehold). You must now make a daring assault on the hold as you fight deeper into the hold in order to set the druids free(which are shown next to ursals spawn in chains). Finaly, after reaching his hold, you must make your final fight to free the druids, after which you make a daring flee from the gnarlpine ridden hold and return to the quest giver with news of your endevours.
Yeah, WoW has no storyline.
