theres a new sticky in the blizzard forms this is what it says

"1. In the next patch, we plan to remove the durability loss on PvP death in the future.

2. Talent trainers have been removed from the game. In order to reset talents, you will need to talk to a class trainer. Each time you reset your talents, it will incur a cost which increases with each reset."

we can look foward that when wow does hit retail it wont have that evil death penalty anymore.

prob the only other thing they need to eliminate is that 30 min rez sickness.

It costs a 60 character 20 gold to repair their armor after using a Spirit Healer, and 4 gold after one resurrected death. It is expensive for Priests to keep Fortitude on an entire group for an instance. Add that reagents take up bag space, and you have everyone highly unhappy. I had been thinking about Engineering, but who is going to have money to buy toys?

I am sorry, the only voices Blizzard seems to be listening to are SOE's.

On death, all equipped items will lose 10% durability.

Durability loss through fighting has been decreased (mainly to accommodate the new penalty for dying)

The penalty for using a Spirit Healer has been changed - there is no longer any experience loss, instead all items (equipped and inventory) will take 100% durability loss and the character will gain resurrection sickness for a duration that scale according to level.

Druid
Mark of the Wild: Ranks 5, 6, and 7 now require reagents.

Mage
Arcane Intellect: Ranks 4 and 5 now require reagents.

Teleport: Now requires a reagent.

Portal: Now requires a reagent.

Slow Fall: Now requires a reagent.

Priest
Levitate will now be cancelled if any damage is taken, now requires a reagent.

Power Word: Fortitude: Ranks 4, 5, and 6 now require reagents.

Shaman
Water Walking: Now cancelled if any damage is taken, requires reagent.

Water Breathing: Now requires a reagent.

Yes, it does seem that instead of xp, now you pay for everything in cash.... which I don't like. As for all the reagents, well... they sure are making things costly all of a sudden. We'll see, I guess.

i did read the reason why they did add regents. they claim that its a money sink for mages as meelies need to spend money on fixing their weps and armor as mages dont mess up their items as much.

However they want us to test that out and if its very difficult for a magic caster to make up cash to pay for regents 2 things will occur.

1. regents will be eliminated.

2. regents will be cheaper to buy.

remember its Open beta testing, were testing new things to see what works and what doesnt. Most issues will be adressed before game goes gold!

I don't think you guys understand how important it is to have money sinks in these games. Look at EQ & DAOC, look how incredibly inflated and screwed up their economy is... you need to have something sucking all the coin out of the game or it just gets stupid!

Props to blizz for having the balls to do it.

I disagree. The point of playing a game like this is to advance your character. One of the ways you do that is through acquisition, including monetary acquisition. This runs directly counter to the idea of balancing against inflation. What you are suggesting is that a famous adventurer who had numerous conquests and exploits should have no more money than someone who is just getting started in order to keep things "balanced."

I'm not saying I should be ridiculously wealthy simply for leveling my character, but I shouldn't have to be a profiteer in the auction house just to be able to afford something other than basic expenses.

This ***** over the shaman class since they both wear armor, melee, and cast spells that require regrants.
