My first impressionFollow

For all those who wonder, will I like WoW, well here is my first impression of WoW as an ex FFXI player and a current DAoC player.

I just loved it.
Theres a lots of quest, but your not forced to do them.
They are mostly of the go there, take this, kill thoses.. come back.. go back ..
But at least if you do those the rewards is worth it.
In FFXI it was soooo long sometimes and the reward was sooooo little it was madening.

After the 4 level I said to myself welll those quest aren't really fun.. but when I hit level 6 I realised, hey those quest are good... I do things that rewards me good money and good exp and that makes me level..

Im level 8 now and.. I never had to tell myself.. ok lets hunt here, monsters are just the right level, I should gain exp at a decent rate and dont die in the process. (hence loosing exp.. and loosing a #%%^&# lot of exp in FFXI)
Btw: in WoW if you die, you repawn to the nearest graveyard and you can see your body on the mini-map. if you go back yo your body, I think you don't loose exp. so dying is not so bad.. you just get to walk around where there's no one.

I did some tradeskills and let me tell you it rocks! I remember FFXI where I was farming monsters for hours only to do a stupid headgear that I couldn't wear cuz it was too damn weak.. and I also needed to do two thousands of those to be able to make a cloak that was once again too damn weak for me to wear. Well in WoW the 5 first things i made, I puted on... I never had to do 100 of headgear to be able to make a cloak. I did an chest armor, a headband and a pair of pants, then a new chest armor that was better than the first I had done before. All this with me buying only 5 thread of something.. and that cost only 5 copper, which is absolutely cheap. Thats what I call not wasting my time.

Also I never had to walk for an hour to find a beast I could kill. The UI is good, it took me like 5 minutes to get down working and after an hour I had already picked most of the good shortcuts. Yo can easily tell if you can kill a beast or not.

My final comment: Blizzard did it right.
Huzzah Blizzard!

You will lose exp but not too much, so you can easily keep adventuring ^^

You found out most things i hated about FFXI too...but it being my first(and still only) MMORPG i couldn't really compare it to anything.
Now reading these stories, it feels like crap.

EDIT: that was good article
