Started last night on a PvP server with a Tauren Shaman.

The gameplay seems fairly intuitive and easy enough so far to use, mind you I am only lvl 6 and have done nothing but solo.

The quests seem to help you get started so that you won't find a lvl 25 character running around with crappy gear and no spells becuase he couldn't afford them. When getting your quest items you should be able to get enough loot to keep up to date on spells and the rewards should keep you decently armoured.

Graphics are better then I expected, but then again I enjoy the look of the game. I don't need realistic, I want the game to look the way it does.

The combat so far seems fairly simple and easy. I played FFXI and it seems odd to attack a creature higher level then myself, win and not really need to rest after combat becaue by time I find my next target I am almost full again. This is the biggest problem I see is the ease of killing things near your level.

Limited space to carry things is once again a problem, but I did find a couple small belt pouches and I also adore the autostacking the system does for you.

Looting corpses is new for me, since I have only played FFXI, so for those who have not done it, don't forget to loot the corpses, I still miss one once in a while.

Dying is not a problem if you don't mind a corpse run. The Ghostworld is very cool, sort of reminds me of the paths of the dead in the RoTK movie. At level 5 I lost 140xp for being raised in the graveyard. (This actually ended up with me getting 45xp back for finding a new village.)

The xp is fairly easy to come by. Talking to people can be quests on its own and get you a bit of xp. I only play from 2a.m. pst, to about 5a.m. pst, so it will be nice to actually be able to progress without having to scrape for a party during n.a. downtime.

All in all I would rate WoW 4.0 out of 5.0 stars, with my limited Mmorpg experince. Ease of play is it's main advantage.

Good luck everyone, hope this helped those who don't know anything about the game.

Been messin with the Beta. World is immersive, the graphics are not really to my style, maybe not organic enough for me. The combat to me was very poor, feels like I am not really in a fight, more like RTS style but maybe that was the intention. Quests were fun for the most part. I was basically just getting a first glance at the game so my opinion doesnt really mean anything. Doesnt feel like a mmorpg that much, which is fresh. I am really not sure I can get over the combat which really had me kinda bored but hey to each his own. I would give it a 8 out of 10 off first glance which really means nothing in games like this. I hated FFXI at first glance but I love the game. I actually am kinda scared of games I love from the getgo, kinda like that album that you love on first listen but then realize there is nothing there a week later. Definitately good potential here but different to the point where comparisons to other mmorpg really isnt warranted or even fair, its a totally different style, so the better or worse argument imo needs to be dropped fast, the two have nothing in common besides market share.
