Server QuestionsFollow

I know there has been posts about this before but I have questions about getting into servers.

First is I know about the East Coast, West coast, and so forth.

can someone please explain to me how exactly it is set up and is joining friends on the server they are on possible.

From what I have seen, you can choose from PvP and PvE, and then the geographically-based servers. They ask you where you live, and then tell you what server that is. They then ask you if you accept, at such time you also have an option to look at other available servers. This is how I ended up in Test 7 instead of Test 3, so it lets you choose.
