How exactly do combo points earned in combat work? How do you know you have them? How do you use them?

Thanks.

They work like this

On a more serious note its pretty much you use moves that add combo points to your target, and as you do you can use finishing moves which increase in effectiveness based on how many combo points the enemy has.

Well, for a rogue, u start with a special attack, sinister strike, which adds one combo point to your gauge, which can hold a max of five. For each sinsiter strike you do you get one combo point, and depending on ho wmany you have your attack that releases them will do that much more damage. Sinister strike isnt the only combo gaining move you get, there will be more, so it works out, and scales well. Have fun playing your rogue abnd i hope this info helps you.

Did you play assassin at all in Diablo 2 by any chance? It's a little different, but the key idea remains the same. Certain attacks add points, and certain ones use them all up for effect. The main difference is that the effect those points has is based on the "finishing move" rather than the move that generates the point.
