When I was browsing the official WoW forums I noticed alot of beta players are level 50 and higher. Any guess on how fast the leveling is for someone who plays maybe 1-2 hours a day? Can people really be level 60 in a month?
I highly doubt that with under 120 hours of playtime that you will reach level cap. Blizzard has stated a couple times that the leveling speed was increased for beta to allow people to reach the endgame content that they were attempting to test. I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see Blizzard slow down leveling by about 1/3, just to keep people around longer while leveling. If they do keep it at the same speed that it has been during Closed Beta, then I would probably believe that they are just expecting people to play several characters to level cap. The one thing that remains a mystery is how to attain hero classes and how long it's going to take.
I played a month playing about 6-8 hours a day at least. I believe my play time added up was about 16 days and I was level 43. It will probably take you a few months playing 2 hours a day.
from what i gather a lot of the CB people said its fast but then i saw the playtime on them. most of the lvl 60 people had well over 40 days of play time. now i am not saying it takes that long but i think a lot of the time it takes was set by people who play constantly. everyone said you get there fast but they played 10 hours a day every day without missing a day.
Keep in mind that you have 8 races to play and each has its own storyline. This is not like ffxi which you play any race and from rank 3 up its all the same for everyone .
That does add up thus making the game longer.
anyhow only hardcore gamers who rush thru the game wont get anybenifit of the game. Iths the normal gamer who will play for months if not years.
